Is Lloyd Levine Dropping Out?

Inside sources tell the Sister City that Assemblymember Lloyd Levine is allegedly considering dropping out of the 23rd State Senate primary race against fellow Assemblymember Fran Pavley due to low polling and fundraising numbers (see previous story).

Our source further tells us that there is talk of Levine making a run for Dennis Zine's 3rd District Council seat with the help of Mayor Villaraigosa. Get ready for LA to ban trans-fat, sodium, dairy products and the skateboard.

I guess when the going gets tough, nannies (or is it ninnies?) get leaving.

Zine would win over Levine. They are so incredibly different. The Mayor would back Zine, not Levine. Check out their history.

Losers who can not grow further in the Political State
Level always come back to Los Angeles and collect their favors that are owed by the current Midget Mayor.

The Voters should just recall every single idiot who makes Politics a career. They should elect new people who have a track record of success in the private life.

^ Yeah, mayor hasn't been real successful in HIS private life, has he? Unless getting himself into trouble with Corina counts as successfully embarrassing himself!

Levine beating Zine??? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Oh man, that is hilarious. Really - that is too funny!

And if you mean running in 2013, well, join the gang!

There will be plenty of other Assemblyman vying for that position.

No, my bet is that Levine does drop out, then mortgages his life with Satan to get the Fabian Nunez Term Limits Loophole Initiative passed.

But then again, I'd bet even if Lloyd is not termed out, Waldman would run against him.

And win.

Levine was heavily criticized on his spay/neuter bill and he even mentioned that he couldn't believe how negative and personal the tone got. Absolutely he should do a gut check and see if he's up for a race against Pavley because it ain't gonna be pretty.

Looks like the Berman/Levine connection is a bit of a washout. But some things never change, Waldman is still the King of Self-Destruction.

Jack,

I don't know. I think Fat Stuey will survive off his girth alone and be the last comic standing. Sometimes it works that way.

What? Negative and personal tone on the mandatory S/N bill? Wait til LL runs for office. Most Californians have pets and we're just waiting for him to throw his hat in somewhere.

Maybe he can get a job with Humane Society of the United States, the largest animal rights organization in the world. That organization who takes your money and pretends to be a shelter.

Beatme! Long time, no hear, little brother! How are the twins (Jerkin and Whackin) doing??

I agree about the comedy, but I don't think we've seen all the characters yet in this one. This race could turn into "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad District."

Gotta run. George picking me up for an Animal Liberation Front meeting.

Villar just pretends to like Zine, but thinks Zine is a real sleaze, and since he boasts about chasing every skirt at City Hall, that's a fact.

Zine IS very vulnerable with all the developments he's approving, including that megamall Westfield.

Last time, a total unknown ran against him to call attention to fact that Zine had approved a 2000-condo development, when the community wanted a park or something much less dense. This time, Levine would stand a chance.

Yes, he's a lot more liberal, bur the West Valley has been repped by leftists before -- even out there, they're worried about development, and Zine's pro-business, weird motorcycle-leather SM cop gear.
