U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton has a new senior staff to run her California presidential operation.
Ace Smith, political advisor to Jerry Brown and Antonio Villaraigosa, is the campaign director. The new political director is Chris Lavery, who has worked for the DNC, Joe Lieberman and Al Gore; the communications director is Luis Vizcaino from the Human Rights Campaign and Kerry-Edwards. Clinton's field director, Michael Trujillo, worked for Villaraigosa from 2001 to 2006, as field director for his city council race and adviser for his mayoral race, spins ZD on Mayor Sam's blog 24/7 and was Tamar Galtzan's Campaign Manager for shady mayoral takeover of LAUSD school board.
Former President Bill Clinton has dinner with Villaraigosa in New York last week, and Hillary Clinton has been hiring the L.A. mayor's political staff. Could an endorsement come soon? And remember, Hillary already appointed Nucklehead Nunez as California co-chair.

if the new yorker hit piece wasn't an indication that Aantonio isn't about to do something like endorse a candidate , I don't know what is.
So, I bet Hillary gets the endorsement of AV . But the strategy may well be that if he can rally the Latino Vote around Hillary and if Barack gets the nomination then the Latino vote that Antonio influences he can shift to Barack
Richardson has the support of La Raza...AV is losing support quickly. Will Hilary stay in the running? Will Barry (Obamma) stay in? Watch out for Richardson. He has California connections being born and raised in Pasadena.

He once imploded Nick Pacheco's campaign with old La Colectiva employees in 2003
He tried to make Hahn volunteers go thirsty in 2005.
And ZUMA you yourself reported how they kept out people who disagreed with VILLABOSO on the AB 1381 townhalls -- who do you think was in charge of those.

You mean I shouldn't even give him the publicity...I feel ya...but you know what, the guy DOES have a history on this blog since day one of Mayor Sam...I know all about the guy -- LOVE the story about buying all the water bottles on a hot day to "thirst out" the opposition. I'm sure he is everything y'all say he is...but again, because of his history I just HAD to post it. And if nothing else...it allows all of y'all to post how angry you are over it! And Chief Parker's position is a national one. He'll probably be taking his "bottle buying" tactics to another state, after California if he is her "Field DIRECTOR". Didn't see the title "California" in the title.

"La Raza" stands behind Bill Richardson for US president
The National Council of La Raza as well as many national Latino civil rights organizations and pro-immigrant groups announced yesterday their solid support of New Mexico state Governor Bill Richardson for US president. The President of the National Council of La Raza, Janet Murguía, said, "This is a great and historic event for the Latino community and we should celebrate it."
Richardson speaks perfect Spanish and his mother was born in Mexico. He is married, for over 30 years, to his high school sweetheart Barbara who was born in Nicaragua.
Juan Jose Gutierrez, Director of Movimiento Latino USA de Los Angeles, said that Richardson has a good chance of winning the Democratic Party nomination for president next year. Gutierrez added, "Even if he does not win, he will be in great position to negotiate with the victorious nominee, whether it be Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or one of the many other Democratic candidates.
Rosa Rosales, national president of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) said that the New Mexican governor has great capacity to be an outstanding president. Rosales added, "We are proud and very happy that a Latino is today a candidate for president."
Governor Bill Richardson is against building the US/Mexico border barrier, is for giving amnesty to undocumented Mexican workers and recently met with the new president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, to discuss issues of mutual concern.

I think the last School Board election has proven that Trujillo has to hhave at least a hundred bucks per vote to come close to winning now.
I guess Hillary's campaign needs to add up each of thethe primaries, then estimate the votes neccessary for the general election, and then multiply by the $100 and she can see how much Trujillo is "worth."
Don't forget, that amount doesn't include ads in radio or TV. That's just for tons of mailers and "old school" Nixon-like politics. You know, dirty "tricks" for Ace to revel in; blogging under monikers in order to make false statements (60 Neighborhood Councils), using multiple identities to present a false mob mentality, and basically trying to ruin decent people for the purpose of political expediency are the tools of these classic heroes of the left.
In fact, they're so old school they should even be compared to another poltical genius for their party.....Joseph McCarthy! They can make killings all over the country making mountains out of molehills to lay waste for those who stand in the way. Who cares if the the ones they ruin are good "progressive" people. Next time they will recognize a winner and bow down early.

If there's one thing that I have learned from being around the political game that we have here in LA is that those who keep getting picked up for assignments are the ones that complete their tasks, which gets them victories under their belts to cash in on and gets them to move up on the job scale. Michael Trujillo does his job and he does it well, which is why he has been able to set himself up with politicos who most of you haters wish you could take a photo with, let alone collect a check with their office's branding.
As it has been noted on this blog, he is somebody who can take on the dirty work that comes with a campaign, get the job done, and come out with only superficial wounds that don't stay on him or the campaign beyond election night. If you only spent 1/4 of the time that you do on this blog out in the real world, you'd realize that somebody like Michael Trujillo is pure gold in the eyes of political machines, which is why he'll still be working years after you have gotten carpal tunnel syndrome from blogging on this site.
So stop being a bunch of girly men and get off your asses and go do some phone banking, some precinct walking, or grass roots organizing. Maybe you can go out to the Westside and help out with the Weiss Recall effort to get some experience under your belt. Maybe after that, you might develop a sense of what it means to have the skills necessary to be a player in the game. Right now, you're just a bunch of spectators.
