Reggie Captured!

They caught Reggie the alligator!

They got him alive. He's going to live in the zoo. No word on whether he'll get a multi-million dollar pen and a feng shui consultant.

Politicians are rushing to the zoo for maximum photo-op-osity.

Update -5:13 p.m.
Channel 2 has devoted 13 minutes so far to the capture of a reptile. Janice Hahn and Tom LaBonge rushed to the zoo to get media attention, and Hahn apparently arranged to have the truck with the alligator diverted to rendez-vous for a photo-op. She also somehow used the wrong pronoun to describe how the alligator was wrestled, bound and carried away: she kept saying "we" when she should have said "they." Oh, and of course we had helicopter coverage.

Only in L.A.

How utterly disgusting!!! A solider's body was found in Iraq and all the local media's top lead story was this damn alligator. What does it say about local media but they are a bunch of embezzles just like Janice Hahn. She's an idiot and there are more pressing issues in her district and she's excited over a damn alligator. Tell that to the victims of homicides that have been going on for years in her district and not just the Harbor Gateway yet all of a sudden she focuses on ONE murder. Get real Janice. Grow up and learn what your priorities should be.

Thank you council and local media for once again showing the entire nation what a bunch of knuckleheads represent this city. In clowncil today they did over 40 mins. on this alligator and Hahn and LaBonge stood there all proud. We are the laughing stock of the nation with our politicans, Mayor and their staff and the stupid shit they do in council meetings.

Janice Hahn sure has been acting weird whenever this gator stuff comes up. She bashed all males (human) after a reporter asked a question about Reggie yesterday, and from today's Daily Breeze:

Finally getting up close with her most elusive constituent was, Hahn said later, a special moment.

"It was actually very emotional to be that close to him," Hahn said in an interview as she rode up to the zoo. "I was petting him and saying goodbye."

Geeesh, this woman has authority over a multi-billion dollar budget.
