MEDIA ALERT: The new "Kevin James Show" launches Monday May 28 at 9pm KRLA 870
Look how HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is today! THE NEW KEVIN JAMES SHOW STARTS THIS MONDAY, 9PM on KRLA 870!!!
"The Great" Kevin James, as I like to call him, is a former Federal Prosecutor and failed to renew his membership in the "Antonio Viagraosa Fan Club".
Everyone knows Kevin's "Red Eye Radio" show from KABC. (He recently got bumped in a NYC ABC corporate sales department move, that caused a domino effect, and the station lost two of their top three hosts.)
SO THEIR LOSS IS MORE THAN OUR GAIN, BECAUSE NOW...IT'S THE NEW KEVIN JAMES SHOW -- AT THE MUCH MORE DESIRABLE TIMESLOT OF 9PM!!! (As opposed to his former 1a-5a slot.)
Do you know the difference between a 9pm slot, and a 1am slot? A HELL OF A LOT!
CONGRATULATIONS KEVIN JAMES, KRLA MANAGEMENT, AND THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES WHO CAN NOW HEAR THE "MAYOR SAM" PERSPECTIVE -- LIVE ON-THE-AIR -- WEEKNIGHTS AT 9PM ON KRLA 870:
STARTING THIS MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY. AND EVERYONE WILL BE IN THEIR CARS FOR THE BIG DEBUT!
Sorry Villagrosa. (Price Is Right "Loser" Stinger): Whomp, whomp, whomp, whomp...(deflated) whoooooooooooomp...)

I still believe KFI could've gained much by dumping that screeching, self-absorbed John Zeigler and bringing Kevin on board.
But, 9 p.m. is certainly a better timeslot, and Kevin is a Mayor Sam reader, so this can only be good news for Angelenos.
Congratulations Kevin!

I never listened before, but I will listen, now. Kevin needs to bring on Walter Moore.
Then bring on Jack Weiss and hammer his ass!

Um, I mean, bring on to highlght Walter Moore and his great ideas.
Then bring on Weiss to put an end to Weiss's days in office.

Chances are very good he will bring Walter on more than once before the '09 election.

This is great news for L.A. -- regardless of whether he has me on as a guest. L.A. needs the kind of coverage Kevin provides on local issues.
Kevin's talent was wasted in the 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. timeslot.
And I think as the word spreads, he's going to own his new timeslot.
KRLA just made a GREAT move.
Congratulations Kevin and KRLA.

This is good news! I've never listened to this station before, but I'll listen now. We need Kevin James now more than ever to fight against amnesty and illegal immigration. Don't let up Kevin!
BTW Antonio Watch, Ziegler's ok. He's been on his game lately.

2:53-54: LOL, and thank you for the clarification.

I'm so thrilled to hear this! But . . . I just checked KRLA's website and it has his show listed as running from 9 pm - 10 pm. Huh??? Now, I realize an hour of Kevin is absolutely better than no Kevin, but can this be right? We need waaaaaaaaaaaay more Kevin than that! Tell me it's a typo!

Searching the am band trying to find some amnesty killin' news, I landed on KRLA, and lo, I hear Kevin James voice announcing his new show...yeehaa !!!
You are BRILLIANT and discerning, KRLA, and this guy's gonna make you some dough....just give him more hours and it will pay off for you in spades !
Man, just the other day I was thinking it was an act of treason that KABC ever let him go when we needed him more than ever at this moment of national crisis with the Senate fools ready to sellout our sovereignty, and here comes fresh reinforcements...Kevin to lead the cavalry....

Here's the deal on the time for Kevin's show... Right now it is a 2 hour show (9p to 11P) weeknights on AM 870 KRLA. The KRLA website says 9p to 10p because the 2 hour show doesn't start until Friday, June 1, but the show launches Monday, May 28... so they are doing just 1 hour until the second hour becomes available next week. And, you can bet Kevin will work hard to pick up a third hour as well!

Great news!!!!!!!!!!!
Great time slot!!! He will get millions more listeners. We can all stay awake now!
My only hope is that Kevin will continue with the SAME format as before! No one blasted Tony Villar like Kevin!
Kevin...if your reading this blog...please, please, please keep beating the anti-Villar drums!

Though I like Kevin james I feel torn between him and Coast-to-Coast on KFI.
happily he will start in the 9-10 slot so I will be able to switch over and get to hear what George Noory has to say.
Kevin will definately wipe the floor with Mark Levin - taking on that fool was the downfall of KABC's evening lineup.

GEORGE NOORY OVER KEVIN?!?!?! Please pass whatever you're smokin this way.
Kevin James is about as good as LA Radio gets. I've heard 'em all, and I appreciate other formats, but it is truly inspiring to be motivated to civic action by a voice on the radio. On top of that, he is very funny.
Welcome back to the airwaves, Kev!

Good to hear Kevin’s voice on the former KIEV tonight as Ray Bream has said there is a need for local radio to focus on the local problems and if KRLA continues to bring aboard host that focus on the
Issues that matter KRLA will become the number one radio in Los Angeles
