Should We Have a Party?
Do you guys want to have a Mayor Sam's Sister City party where you can celebrate, imbibe and meet your favorite Mayor Sam bloggers? When? Where? Ideas? Post them here.
This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yorty. I'm a dead pol.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen (removes hat and bows low):
Party? (smiles with glee) May I recommend the Redwood Bar and Grill at 316 West 2nd Street? The place is definately pirate friendly, savvy?

Of course you/we should have a party, that's how we can all socialize and speak of a common goal, I think it might actually turn out for the better, showing the city council how they should participate and come together in unity for the betterment of the city. Not to mention, a good way to assist in getting the word out that the City of Los Angeles actually has a group of residents that 'keep it real' no phony stuff here.
Later this month or next month is fine, allow me to give input, pick a location/venue (in what part of the city- San Pedro, Universal, Alhambra, Hollywood) and I can work on a venue and entertainment, high end and professional only.
Now you said a party, not a group hug, so this should be an evening fun & entertaining for everybody...(public - citys officails - bloggers - celebritites - super heroes *ZD & RHR Ant Man*) I am thinking also all you anony'mouses also, but I figure you wont show up since you like being in hiding.
Take the lead, I will follow and assist in making it all work out great.

I'll assume "Alhambra" was a jab at Huizar, but "Universal" ???

Alhambra? Jesus Christ. Why don't we shoot for the stars and do Glendale?

Beverly Hills, in honor of Mayor Tony taking the L.A. Times columnist to eat there last election.

For all intents and purposes, Alhambra is a suburb of the eastside of L.A. Without a "real" city like Los Angeles to hang onto the skirttails of and drive their economies, these little "independent" cities that carry so much self-important pride (while they look down their noses at L.A.) - like Glendale, Alhambra, South Pasadena, El Monte, West Hollywood - even Pasadena, Santa Monica, and Long Beach might as well be Needles or Tucumcari, New Mexico.
They're as captive and endentured to to real city here, as Hollywood and the SFV.

Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills is nice........ What you say?
La Conga in San Pedro, I can cover ENTERTAINMENT from a TOP40 BAND?
Sorry if I am in & and out tending to business trying to keep up with all your schedules, and for the anony'mouse' of 12:21, I doubt you would show up because that means you have have to face the crowd. Maybe you would be better off staying at home and cry.
Before I was the 'City Guy' the called me *Mr. Entertainment*....

ZD would like to invite everyone to City Hall rotunda this Wed. April 4th for Zuma Dogg and City Councils' "ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY", Y'ALL!
I know, it only felt like tweleve months...but it will be a year on April 4th, so join ZD (if he has gas money) -- conicidentally, I expect a reality crew there (will confirm later today) -- AND LET'S CELEBRATE THE PAST YEAR OF SHADY-FRAUD, WASTE AND ABUSE -- and relive all the memories of how those desparate, gentrifying, community and life wreckers are tanking the City, region - AND nation. (They are going down in history -- and ZD, Matt Dowd and other have put these shady f*cks on the record.

I agree with the er, ah... Captain Sparrow(s), all of them (or is it all fourteen of him?); the Redwood Bar & Grill sounds rather appealing. There are distinct advantages, such as its location within Civic Center and surrounding environs.
A very good suggestion. It has my vote.

Just make it in the evening so that we, the working slugss, can make it. I'm talking corporate hours, after six.

The restaurant option has advantages and drawbacks.
The advantages include not having to fuss around with food & drink. The main drawback, being, that you only get a chance to socialize with the people sitting near you.
That spot in Little Tokyo looks good, Joseph! They even have vegetarian options.
Captain Jack, will you attend?

Good evening Mr. Watch (tips hat):
