This goes to show how dumb Villaraigosa's handlers are. Any good pr person knows that you don't make a statement if there's no credence to it. Actors who get into trouble and its reported stay quiet because by commenting you turn a one day story into a week's gossip. By making a statement AV is acknowledging there is a problem. Thanks to Mayor Sam for pointing it out.

How long has "HIS POLLONESS" been going about his duties in public without the wedding band ?? Also did anyone notice that the "LA ANTONIA TIMES" byline was nameless ?? Maybe "LITTLE DOOKIE" did not want to be associated with this story to maintain his "BUNK BUDDY" relationship with the mayor. One should look at recent photos to determine time line.

This Latino mayor is so unimpressive on so many levels.
Whatever you think about this, kudos to the blogosphere for reporting the relationship anomalies that print had long overlooked, and double kudos for painting print into a corner in which they were finally obliged to write something that had been their story---not the blogosphere's---for many months.
Mayor Sam you should be commended for allowing this story to be put up as a thread. Now you're having the last laugh to all those people who said this was gossip. AV is a public figure so we have a right to know. Losing weight was the dumbest excuse for not wearing his ring. What all of a sudden he gained weight to put it back on? Don't be surprised if he's threatened poor Corina to be seen with him in public.

Nice rally speech Tony, but nothing but fluff. "Great taste, less filling." Anyone can say that stuff, but I do not see one actual acccountable action. That's the problem I have found with politicians. Good at saying what should be done in a picture perfect world, but don't mention any solutions because then people start to think.
Here's my campaign speech:
We need less taxation. And more goverment services. But less government beuracracy. We need to make the streets safer, improve the job market, reform the school system, and so far I haven't said a thing...
Personally, I like to read actual legislation in any press release.

Villaraigosa's political consultant stuck his foot in his mouth saying the wrong thing to a reporter from San Franciso. Channel 7 caught it and reported after airing Antonio talking about the fact he and his wife are not separated. Reporter then says "Villaraigosa's political consultant told a San Francisco reporter this will hurt Gavin Newsome because he betrayed his best friend. AV is a hypocrite telling the media he doesn't want to comment on Newsom's personal affairs. Yeah right!! He has his people do it for him.
Now, if only the LA reporters would state the facts that Villaraigosa as someone posted here AV had an affair with his wife's sister while AV's wife was in the hospital having cancer therapy. Talk about being disloyal. That my friends will hurt AV more then Newsom's indiscretion. If only the women he's been with weren't threatened to hide in the closet.

(1) To Mayor Sam: Please curtail Zuma Dogg's postings. They take your very good, very serious blog and make it look like a ZD PR machine.
His postings ramble. He posts them on top of very good threads.

(6) AV cheated on his wife while she was battling cancer. Rumors of a past rape are widely known on the eastside. Who is the bigger a-hole between him and Gavin Newsom?
