Yes indeed special interests from the unions to developers and all the usual downtown suspects are lining up to cheer lead for a project that will turn a segment of Downtown Los Angeles in Universal Citywalk - all on your dime.

What a bunch of crap. Downtown LA is so bleak, who the hell would want to spend a minute there more than they had to beyond their working hours, by shopping or, even yuckier, living there. If it is to be improved, let the developers foot the bill, why do taxpayers have to get involved!?
