Mayor V Report

Mayor Villaraigosa has proposed yet another MTA gimmick with the intent to increase ridership on buses and reduce car trips. The MTA will lower fares on select routes to 50 cents. Lowering the fares will certainly been a boon to the transit dependent already using the system but that is not going to draw people out of their cars. What will do that is an efficient, seamless system that goes everywhere and is perceived as safe and clean. Anything less and you might as well not even try.

With Stevie Wonder in attendance, Mayor Villaraigosa was shouted down by homeless activists during his speech at a Black History Month event at City Hall.

Apparently Mayor Villaraigosa is now a fashion commentator.

Hey Mayor, how about not overbuilding this city with thousands of new office projects and condos, such as Playa Vista and Water Gardens, instead of asking us all to get on buses with illegal aliens and the homeless? There are no transportation solutions for LA, at least given current technology, so let's STOP GROWING.
