McIntyre Rips Dennis Zine

Some time back, a motorcycle cop turned union leader spoke before a community group expressing deep concern about the role of illegal aliens who become gang criminals. He even spoke to his opposition to Special Order 40, a police policy which forbids the questioning of immigration status in criminal investigations.

Later on, that motorcycle cop became a City Councilman and all of a sudden was in favor of Special Order 40, he even went to Washington D.C. to speak in favor of it to the Congress. That is when he wasn't packing heat in the Council chambers or scaring the crap out of farmers late at night.

The former motorcycle cop then gained the respect of talkradio hosts and other critics of the usual foolishness that comes out of the City Clowncil when he was the only Council member to oppose a ridiculous $2.7 million settlement to a fire fighter who says his co-workers put dog food in his spaghetti. Eventually, the Mayor vetoed the settlement and enough Clowncil members changed their vote to side with the motorcycle cop and overturn the settlement (at least for now).

But the cycle cop is right back to his usual foolishness and is supporting some ridiculous document entitled "The Declaration of Los Angeles." This is a pro-illegal alien stateament - that does not have the force of law - hobbled together by the usual left wing suspects and "blessed" by the Los Angeles City Council. The purpose of this document is to "condemn" elderly white people in lawn chairs (as so eloquently put by Doug McIntyre) who exercise their first amendment rights begging their government to enforce its own immigration laws.

The motorcycle cop appeared on McIntyre's KABC morning radio program Thursday and had the host's blood boiling. At a time when criminals (many of whom are illegal aliens) are terrorizing people of all colors in the cop's own Clowncil district, he feels that the old people in lawn chairs are the greatest threat.

Sad.

Zine should be ashamed of himself. He knows that the illegal immigration matter is a FEDERAL ISSUE. Hell, if the clowncil was so concerned with going after the criminals why in the hell didn't they ask for more money to hire cops years ago? LA has some of the most notorius gang members in the country right herein LA. MS13 in Reyes district is known for killing innoncent people, extorting money, selling illegal documents etc. And have you heard Reyes say one thing about it? Clowncil speak out in support of illegals more then they do their own police officers. Its time for another John & Ken Show to show the people again how ignorant they are.

The ironic thing here is that Dennis Zine appears more aware of the realities in life than the other council members. I suppose he must have seen some line he can't cross on this issue simply because of the politician's self-preservation instinct on the political level. He HAS to know that the Declaration is an absurdity on its face.

To his credit, he comes on the air as much or more than other council members. The Villaraigosa sub-contractors on the Council just don't expose themselves to any situation where they can be criticized (and there's a wealth of material for that), just as the Mayor avoids any and all true discussion of issues. That will be a landmark day when that changes.

I am disappointed but not surprised to hear Mr. Huizar's voice supporting this
Declaration. When you see dog poop on the sidewalk, you go around it, you avoid it. But here, Huizar just goes and steps right on it.., and then grinds it down some more. I am sorry that Alvin Parra is the only one running against him in March. Pacheco would have had a better chance this time around than last.

Just because someone doesn't agree with your point of view doesn't mean they should be silenced or barred from action. Open discussion and debate might have been something these folks have forgotten about. But any opposition has to be called "racist"- Then by what construction of the facts will the truth NOT be called "racist" by these persons and groups?"

Another irony: The rights of citizens and legal residents have seemed to again take a back seat to insulating illegal immigrants from scrutiny of any sort. Council: How about working on protecting us from all the life-threatening climate on the streets first (Most due to gangs, a lot made up of illegal immigrants)?

City Council again wastes precious time and money and fails to attack the problem of gang violence and
murder, preferring to circle the wagons and cherry-pick the items they handle.

As they continue to be among the most highly-paid politicians in the United States, we are getting poor representation for our buck.

The chameleon Dennis Zine

May 22, 1998, DN:

``No way will I ever support illegal aliens serving on those (neighborhood) councils,'' said Zine, a West Hills resident and officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. ``It's a slap in the face of everyone who has become a citizen.

``I've got a real concern if we're going to open it up to people who have committed federal crimes to hold elected or appointed office,'' he said.

``It dilutes the value of citizenship when I can get the same benefits, whether I'm legal or not legal"

September 18, 2003, DN:

Citing the threat to local control, the Los Angeles City Council came out Tuesday against a proposed federal law that would require police to enforce immigration laws.

The 13-0 council vote came at the request of Councilman Dennis Zine..

``I don't think they are looking at the impact of this,'' Zine said of the measure introduced by Rep. Charlie Norwood, R-Ga. ``This doesn't do much for our relationship with the diverse people we have in Los Angeles.''

Dennis Zine was appointed to the national immigration task force last December.

http://www.nlc.org/Newsroom/Press_Room/7365.cfm

A recent article stated that his district has one of the highest concentrations of immigrants from many different countries. Perhaps Zine has just changed his opinion over time.

I think of all the councilmembers he is the most honest and down to earth. His votes are based on common sense, not political doings. I also think he's sexy ;-)

12:11 Yes, he is sexy ;-) He looks great in jeans. He may not have a lot of hair on his head but I saw him once at an event with a couple of buttons undone on his shirt and he has a sexy hairy chest. Makes me want to run my fingers through it.

11:59 I said immigrants, not illegal aliens or criminals.

A SUGGESTION TO DENNIS ZINE

As someone who has just gone from a Populist/Talk Radio hero to Pandering Clowncil Appeaser. Here is a idea. Have the feds come in and launch a investigation on how the "Civil Rights" of true citizens are being violated by a Clowncil that will raise taxes, yet not provide protection to legal citizens who are being threaten by "Urban Terrorists"(ie. GANGS and IMMIGRANT ACTIVISTS). Maybe you can get Bill Lann Lee to oversee the LAPD effort to remove these "URBAN TERRORISTS" from the streets. They can start in your district. Further, you can with Lann Lee, Enpower a GRAND JURY OF CITIZEN OVERSITE AND AUDITING. This group can have investigated power to ensure that tax payer money is being use for endevers that respect the rules of law and prioritize the protection of citizens. Some would say that what I advocate is Xenophobic, yet the constitution is a color bind document that protects all citizens, regardless of race. By continue pandering to the "Illegal/ immigrant community. The only result the Clowncil will achieve is the "BALKANIZATION" of Los Angeles into enclaves of Rich and Poor. Middle Class will be long gone.

RED SPOT, Regarding the federal investigation: It would not surprise me if the feds suddenly pull the plug upon federal funds or grants given to state and municipal governments unless they (the local goverment bodies) start enforcing federal immigration law.

Indeed, one should wonder how long our city would survive without federal tax dollars being granted it. One may make the case wherein this is a federal issue, however this is a separatist viewpoint - ie, either we bear allegience to the United States, or we do not. If we do not, then what nation do we claim citizenship to? If we do not, then why is the coin and currency we use in our city clearly marked "United States of America", and not "City of Los Angeles"?

If, however, we are legally American citizens (either by birth or naturalization), then we had better start following the rule of federal law concerning illegal aliens; to wit: those who have entered the United States without invitation should be deported; those who commit crimes against American citizens should be incarcerated or given the death penalty (by hanging) - depending upon the severity of the crime, and then deported (if not convicted of a capital crime).

Imagine buying a house for your family, establishing your residence, and making payments on your mortgage. Then imagine that people you don't know deciding to move into your house, not paying money toward your mortgage, and demanding that you pay them to live there. Then the city, county, and state governments arbitrarily pass legislation forcing you to pay these unknown people living in your house without your permission.

Guess what? This is exactly the situation now occurring within the city, county, state, and our nation! We are expected to pay OUR taxes to subsidize people living here without our permission!

It's time for the governmental bodies we elect to wise up, instead of wising off on us!
