Insiders Wanted

The public learns about the shenanigans at City Hall primarily from the local media, who, in turn, seem to rely primarily on press releases issued by career politicians.

That's just not good enough.

If you work in City Hall, and you're aware of misconduct the press is missing, report it to Mayor Sam via e-mail. (Don't report it to me, report it to Mayor Sam.) He will keep your identity confidential. Don't sit idly by while laws are broken and tax dollars are squandered. Take some action.

Oh, now that I think about what happened to the guy in "The Insider," maybe that wasn't the best choice for a graphic. . . .

FINALLY, someone attached to the Mayor Sam blog (unwittingly, or dim-wittingly), acknowledges what has be SO painfully obvious. The blog-minders here don't have a CLUE what goes on at City Hall, have few if any sources to find out, and the latest group of regulars ("Wacko" being chief) can only alienate whatever might be left.

MS jumped the shark a year ago. . . tripped. . . and was eaten by the toothy fish. Pull the blinds-leading-the-blind blog down, before it gets any more embarrassing.

Some poor fools (like me) stop back occasionally, thinking someone MIGHT just know something, but, alas. . . I can read the Daily News myself, thank you very much.

The problem is that when somebody is on the inside begins to give out too much info, Steve Hymon will try to find out who they are. Then at that point, their careers are put at risk. Not worth the price.

Hey Walter...

It appears that you are a fan of SOS (SaveOurState)! Your "insider" idea was taken directly from a post on SOS yesterday!

The problem with the Mayor Sam blog, however, is that it is full of City Hall trolls. The new site will be troll-free, and the info will be posted anonomously and all identities protected. The info will not be disseminated by ANYONE!

Again, stay tuned for further developments, and thanks for visiting SOS!

Everybody knows that City Hall employees, journalists, real activists and gadflies all read Mayor Sam whether they write anything or not. Most of us read all of the local blogs. What kind of employees would we be if we didn't?

OH, I don't know. . . maybe more productive, focused, dedicated ones, that could get something done for the people of the city.

What is it about reading piffle from wannabes like Walter Morre and that Alger ne'er-do-nothing that could in any way make one a better city employee?

PLEASE don't that's "listening to the people". . . shee-it. That's juat listening to the LOSERS that the people chose NOT to elect (or listen to either).

The day this city turns the corner is the day it stops changing public policy based on whining of a handful that will never be satisfied.
