Elephant CSI
Why did Gita die?
CBS Channel 2 news says the animal autopsy -- I've forgotten the relevant term of art -- said heart failure due to blood clots, or something like that. The report also said, apparently, it was impossible to tell whether the delay in care contributed to the death.
Rest in peace, Gita.

Necropsy.
By the way, that happens when an elephant "goes down". Thier circulatory system is overloaded and fails.
She went down due to severe athritis and osteoporitis in her foot; the pain was too great.
The clowns at the the Zoo didn't notice until it was too late to help her up (they use a lift).

Only a human being receives an autopsy. For animals, that'd be a necropsy or a post mortem examination.

This boat is, like, 100 million times better than an elephant. BTW, I'm not rich.

Sadly, Walter is not larger than life. I can always dream of elephants.
