Wong a commissioner appointed by former Mayor Hahn indicted? Jim Alger was also a commissioner appointed by Mayor Hahn. What did Alger see in or get from this corrupt administration?

Maybe it's the water at the Daily Breeze, but even with DZ's jump to the alternative press, it still breaks news the LAT and DN misses. Note in today's Breeze story that Wong allegedly got the the "bribe" in $5,000 monthly installments. That's a consulting contract! He may have violated ethics rules with a vote on either the airport or harbor commissions, but the LAT and DN make it sound as though he got the cash in a paper bag under a table at Denny's. And all those embezzlement charges are sports tickets. No wonder Cooley didn't announce details. The LAT and DN bought the grand jury secrecy bullshit. The details of the charges aren't secret after the indictment. And is anyone going to challenge Chick that nobody found any pay for play? Sic that task force on her or anyone else for three years and they'll get indicted.

No doubt it was a search to bring about chaos for the Hahn Administration. Chick sought out Cooley but what's the status of the other investigations. Obviously the players are no longer part of this blog. They got what they wanted and are currently in office. Wong is the wrong man. What happened to the others or was it all a bunch of BS?

Chick's ploy was transparent, but why let that get in the way of a good story? Don't challenge her. She may stop feeding you exclusive nuggets. (For context, read about the McCarthy Era.) Remember, had she not made the pay-for-play allegations, which never panned out, Hahn would not have been weakened and Antonio would not have entered the race. Don't hold your breath for somebody to do that story.
