VOTE NO ON PROP 88 !!

Prop. 88 could bring $50 tax to your door, Flat fee would affect all property owners
By Harrison Sheppard, Staff Writer

SACRAMENTO - Every property owner in California, no matter how big or small or valuable the parcel, faces paying a flat $50 tax to fund schools under a measure voters will be asked to approve in November.

Although it's still early in the election season, the move already is generating criticism from taxpayer groups and property owners who say it's a regressive tax and adds to the burden on average citizens who are already overtaxed.

Special Order 40 is plain B.S.

A City Council or a Mayor have no legal right to decide which State and Federal laws the police force, sworn officers of the law, are supposed to enforce. They are supposed to enforce all of them.

Judicial Watch, sometimes a pesky organization, has won the first round and that order will soon be history.

Bad news for illegal aliens who attract police attention.

I also suspect it will be a little easier getting attention in the E.R.'s in town, whereas now one can't even get a seat.

One wag had baseball hats made up for his friends for gifts that say "I.C.E.". He claims that when he wears it into the E.R., the place clears out.

'Nuff said.

Let's see if the clowns on city council waive the $100,000 special event permit fee they always do for the LA Marathon even though they have tons of corporate sponsors. Hey, didn't Yvonne Burke's husband get into trouble with the LA Marathon last year yet I see he's still running it.

Nick and Jessica are trying their best to appear happy together (see attached) in spite of the E!Online faux pas earlier this week, the rest of the world is waiting with baiting breath for the OFFICIAL divorce announcement probably coming our way in a month or two...AFTER the big Dukes of Hazzard premiere. I'm not sure there's anyone out there who still believes this thing is the real deal...but just in case...I've landed some super exclusive dirt from one of my LA sources that pretty much confirms their union is just as fraudulent as Jennifer Aniston's America's sweetheart illusion. Last weekend at an LA party, Jessica was seen doing lines in a private room with her assistant Cacee and another male friend. You will recall earlier this year when Paris Hilton's Sidekick got hacked, several text messages between her and Lindsay Lohan revealed that Jessica isn't exactly a stranger to the white powder scene. Anyway, back to this weekend...Jessie's snorting away, all three of them are having a gay old time...when suddenly Cacee reaches over, parts Mrs. Lachey's short shorts and undies, and starts fingering her right then and there. By all accounts, this is not the first time this has happened. And Cacee's not the only female who's had manual knowledge of the Simpson cha-cha either. Fellating Johnny Knoxville and getting handf*cked by a long list of delectable women??? All this from the daughter of a former Southern Baptist preacher?? You don't say???!!!! Anyway, in light of this current piece of scintillating gossip...I thought I'd throw out a classic photo. Jessica on stage, wearing the tiniest of hotpants, spread eagle for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Raise readiness, Assad tells Syrian Army
Reuters

DAMASCUS - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told the Syrian military on Monday to raise its readiness, pledging not to abandon support for Lebanese resistance against Israel.

"We are facing international circumstances and regional challenges that require caution, alert, readiness and preparedness," Assad said.

"The barbaric war of annihilation the Israeli aggression is waging on our people in Lebanon and Palestine is increasing in ferocity," Assad said in a written address on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the foundation of the Syria Arab Army.

Diplomats in Damascus say the Syrian army has been on alert since the Israeli onslaught on Lebanon began on July 12 after Hizbollah fighters captured two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border operation.

Israel OKs expansion of Lebanon campaign
Hopes dim for quick end to Mideast crisis

Monday, July 31, 2006; Posted: 6:44 p.m. EDT (22:44 GMT)

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Israel's Security Cabinet has approved an expansion of the ground campaign against Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's office announced early Tuesday.

The announcement came hours after Olmert said Monday there would be no cease-fire in the coming days.

"Quite a few days of fighting are still before us," Olmert told a conference of local officials.

"We will stop the war when the [rocket] threat is removed ..., our captive soldiers return home in peace, and you are able to live in safety and security."

No link to Steve Hymon's puff pastry piece at the La Antonia Times for the affordable housing bond?

Is Steve Hymon gay? That would be the reason he kisses Antonio's ass like all the other Metrosexual reporters. I use to like Steve but he seems to be kissing AV's ass and writing nothing but puff pieces lately that throws his credability out the window. Knock it off Steve and get back to "REAL" reporting with hard facts.
