Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Tuesday

The LA Weekly has endorsed Democrat Jonathan Levey for the 41st Assembly District. You may remember Levey's "race" testing various modes of transportation through the San Fernando Valley. Martini Republic's Joe Mailander had a chance to ride along.

Folk singer Joan Baez sang "We Shall Overcome'' and a minister lead a prayer circle today as dozens of people, including Daryl Hannah perched in a walnut tree, held a vigil to save the South Central Farm. Dozens, sometimes hundreds of people, have been preparing a "peaceful resistance'' to sheriff's deputies who could evict them form the 14-acre plot of land, wedged between warehouses. You may remember this is the farm Dennis Zine showed up at to do a Councilman's inspection, but late at night in a cop's uniform.

El Segundo.net has a cool article about the ghost neighborhoods around LAX. Many of them were condemned when jets arrived at the airport and the noise made life unlivable.

Los Angeles City Council brings forth a motion against abusive and racist language.

Abusive behavior by speakers during the public comment period at City Council
meetings has created an intolerable situation which must be addressed effectively.
It is inappropriate for the City Council to sit idly by and allow members of the
public to utter racist words and make unacceptable personal attacks.
This type of language exposes a captive Council Chamber audience as well as a
television viewing audience, including many school groups and children, to language and
behavior that is not currently permitted on regular commercial television broadcasts.
The City Council should at the very least implement the same rules of decency and
the same standards for appropriate speech as are enforced by the television broadcasting
industry and the Federal Communications Commission.
We should consider various options including a delayed broadcast of public
comment speeches to allow for the deletion of offensive language, an automatic shut off
of the microphone when a public speaker utters offensive language, automatic forfeiture
of the speaker's remaining time, sanctions for repeat offenders and other legal and
equitable remedies.
The racist and abusive language must stop now.

this is from Wednesdays agenda.

I guess I won't be able to yell at them anymore.

I never cursed at them just yelled at them.

Its about time. I can't believe the crap that some of these people get up and say and yell at council members. Whether I agree with them or not there has to be a certain respect. Last week on Channel 35 a black guy was yelling the word "Nigger" about 3 times and there were kids in the audience. They should do this at the Police Commission where all those radical blacks always make racist remarks and threaten to burn down the city. I don't think John Mack would want his radical friends prevented though from blasting LAPD.

I noticed they have even mentally ill people like Sadie Hawkins always speaking at public comment. Then they have the crazy white rap singer who complains about Venice singing and yelling at them. Then you have South LA farmers saying there will be violence if they are evited. Then the other guy from El Sereno who is always there yelling at Jose Huizar saying how horrible a councilman he is and his staff. Everyone has the right to speak their mind. However, you don't have to use curse words, yell, and be down right threatening to do it. Let's see who votes against this. I bet Rosendahl.

Amazing that they let him speak on wednesday . I was there. Actually they let him speak during public comment before I did on Wednesday . . They let the kids leave and then he got to speak at Public comment.Good thing he didn't do that stuff he did on Tuesday of Last Week.

I yelled at them on Tuesday.

Some City Council Staff said they could hear me through the doors behind the U. NOt proud of that.

Memorial day weekend and days leading up to it is not a good day to disrspect me.

I went back on Wednesday and they wouldn't let anyone cross the barrier to take pics. I guess I was right. That is what I yelled at them about . treating some people better than others in COuncil Chambers.

Boy did I lose respect fo some of them that day ,not because of what happened to me , but because for the first time I saw how some people are treated better than others and fawned over when they show up to council chambers.

I don'use drugs to self-medicate with , I don't drink , or use any other substance to numb the memories. So I deal with it. So I should have remembered

But the house was crazy last night and yesterday. PTSD . this is a residential facility for vets.

I had forgotten somehow that Memorial day was coming up. Usually I stay home through the week and the weekend . I had forgotten.

Not a good time for me. But I survived intact. City Council didn't , they got the berating of their life. And I have made an enemy with the General Services Sergeant at arms.

Anyway , good to see everyone agrees on this subject. It needs to tone down.
Unfortunatley ,it being a brown act meeting , City Council , it is going to be interesting to see how much of the first ammendment they can curtail , considering if someone is against a certain item on the agenda and they delay the broadcast etc , it can become abused , it is going to be hell on the rights of the City to know what is going on.
The 1st ammendment will needs be kept in mind.

Anyway, I made it. Unfortunately listening to the news , others did not.

P.S.

Because I don't post anonymously I have the privilege of editing my own posts or deleting them .

Now would the coward behind the anonymous please step forward.

By the way : I have papers to prove I am crazy!!! where are yours?

Everyone knows I have a mental illness , what type of anxiety problem do you have if you have to hide?

no problem there. But I have a lot of credibility and influence , because I am transparent and open.

And have lot's of friends who love me. HA!

La OPinion was reading my blog LAst Week about Elena Popp , I saw their domain on my site meter. And they used the words I used when I endorsed her on that post. HA!!!!

I spoke to some of my friends and they are just concerned about the personal attacks on them , but that is already covered under Work place violence .

So I don't see much in changes coming.

And if you read my blog you will see that I spoke up for Cynthia Lynn Hawkins.

The Sunshine laws are intact. ANd it will be tough for them to limit what folks say.

So Chill!!!!!
