20th District State Senate candidate Cindy Montanez racks up another endorsement in her quest to secure the Democratic nomination over Councilman Alex Padilla. Monday night, the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley endorsed Montanez with a unamious vote.

Abbe Land almost scored a "no endorsement" over Mike Feuer but he got the endorsement by 4 votes.
"Almost?" Feuer got 66% of the vote! That's a blowout.

Mike got 66% and he needed 60%. Daniel knew that Abbe wasn't going to get 60% so he was shooting for 40% to block Mike's endorsement. He thought he had the votes but some of his people changed at the last minute.
Little do you guys know, Alex has a smoking gun. Parke doesn't know all of Cindy's history. He especially doesn't know about the circumstances, moves and deals surrounding Cindy's sister's election to the San Fernando City Council. Can you say South Gate?

Parke picked Daniel Tamm for this specific purpose: to block the DP/SFV endorsement.
They failed.
Let's face it... Daniel isn't an effective organizer, which was why he was demoted by the Alliance during the special election. He's been shooting blanks all along -- Parke just didn't know it.
Nice try, but Daniel doesn't really hold much sway with Valley Dems.

Daniel didn't expect that the old guard in DP/SFV has been behind Mike for a very long time and he wasn't going to change their votes, and a lot of the new DP/SFV blood likes Mike too. Abbe ended up with fewer votes than Daniel expected going into the meeting an hour earlier and that can't be good. I think some people told Abbe and Daniel that they were supporting her just so they could be left alone.
Whoever is bashing Daniel Tamm on this page needs to cool it. Daniel is a good man, and he put forth an honorable effort last night at DP/SFV. In the end DP/SFV endorsed Mike but remains friendly with Abbe; let's leave it at that. Attacking Daniel anonymously in this forum is extremely bad form.

Strangely enough Alex Padilla is one of the few candidates in California to qualify for the ballot by gathering enough signatures in the District to not have to pay the filing fee. I guess that means nothing when all these posts say he sucks.

It just means that he had his staff out during city time collecting signitures. Shit, just because soemone signs to PLACE someone on the ballot does not mean they SUPPORT let alone will vote for them. But, good job anyways maybe it will get you at least a few votes.
