Save Our Seal Gears Up
The third time may be the charm, but leaders of the movement to restore the Los Angeles County seal are at it again.
Having received some significant funding, the organizers are able to hire paid signature gatherers, PR consultants and will be distributing petitions as inserts in the Daily News.
The campaign has until April 9th to get the requisite number of signatures to place the question of the County Seal on the ballot.
Today, Save the Seal chairman and County Supervisor candidate David Hernandez sent out the following message:

Good afternoon Supporters of the Original Los Angeles County Seal
Your hard work and contributions have proven very successful.
Many of you have heard the radio commercials we have been running for two weeks on KRLA 870 during the Dennis Prager Show. The first one is at 9:30 AM and is on each hour.
Last week we printed 170,000 petitions. The petitions will be part of an insert in the Los Angeles Daily News on Saturday March 11th. This will be in every edition this Saturday!
Our new commercials will begin running on Thursday March 9th on KRLA beginning early morning and running all day Thursday and Friday to let people know the petition will be in Saturday’s paper.
We will be requesting you get at least three signatures and mail the petition back to us as soon as possible. The insert will already be addressed to our office.
The deadline is April 9th, so we have a lot of work to do. We will start counting next week and already have a good number in the office.
The committee has hired a professional fundraiser, we are getting ready for the mailer, and paid petition gathers in the final two weeks of the drive.
We are grateful to all of you and our major contributors who have made the paper insert possible.
Once again, thank you for all your hard work, prayers and contributions.
Sincerely,
David Hernandez
Chairman, Committee to Support the Los Angeles County Seal

Someone needs to do a link to an online petition that can be downloaded, printed, signed and mailed to them.

Anyone who runs against Molina gets an automatic 40% of the vote. All he needs is to convince another 10 plus one percent he can't do any worse than Molina.
He should look in the Southeast for the votes.

He better get a better issue then the seal.
With all the problems facing LA, it is hard to believe that the seal is even something he is wasting his time with.
By the way... went to the County Recorders' office today... the cross is still on the seal.
