Mayor Frank worked with the man in question who molested those children.
The admission from John Robert Stevens, a former high-ranking advisor to Gov. Gray Davis and Assembly speakers Antonio Villaraigosa, Herb Wesson and Fabian Nunez came in a lawsuit accusing the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles of failing to protect two brothers from Stevens' abuse.He was Antonio's Villaraigosa's Chief of Staff when he was Speaker of the Assembly. The fact that I worked with him is hardly a story compared to that little nugget. He was also Chief of Staff to newly elected Councilman Herb Wesson when he was Speaker.

There's a major difference between pedophelia and homosexuality. The latter is consentual, the former is perverse.
The vast majority of pedophiles are straight men. They sexually abuse children with whom they have access - their own kids, girlfriend's kids, neices, nephews, neighbors etc.
Once a pedophile always a pedophile. These two are the first ones to come out, surely there are more...
There had to be talk of this, rumors, inuendos...No one listened. What about the backround checks...no one even did one on him. This is sad.

Stevens weilded a lot of power in Sacramento for along time. Makes one wonder what he may have done up there.
That Davis did not run background checks is nothing new; lots of his appointees have checkered pasts and it never bothered him, as long as the monetary checks cleared (if you know what I mean)...
Pedophiles come in all shapes and sizes, politicians are not excluded. Do you recall Tom Snyder. I heard stories from his hay day. Imagine this, it's all kept hush hush...can't afford to mess things up for DNC.

Problem is that background checks only work if someone's been caught. In most cases, pedophiles operate for years before getting caught.
10:11's I can tell you want this man in jail JRS. Ponder this for one minute: What secrets can this man divulge from these other politicians? Will the bird sing? Why is he protected heavily by his ex employers, is there more to this. Once the fat lady, in his case, molester sings, he will not shut up.
Think about it. Why would YOU protect a child molester from going to jail? What does he know?
Honestly, I think it's simpler than the proposed conspiracy. There's a statute of limitations on prosecuting sex offenses. He's probably beyond that period which is why he's offering up the info. This is what happened to many cases against Catholic priests and caused the victims community to go into an uproar.
Our legal system is screwed up if we have this statue of limitations on sex offenders.
