I understand he "ignores" our little city over here. But he doesn't read the LA Times? He only linked to it 4 other times today...
Maybe I should tip him off to the source of his odor... You know what they say, whoever smelt it, dealt it!

Which makes those emails from him hectoring ethics especially ironic. Most bloggers of any size scrupulously credit what they're snatching. Roderick snatches wholesale, and doesn't link if he doesn't like what's being said at the blog. He's even been known to take it a step further, and tires to snitch if he's obliged to snatch too much. Basically, I'm (LA)observing a snatch-&-snitch operation over there.
You guys have a halfway decent blog here but your continued attacks on Roderick make you look like small minded, sniveling pussies. Why don't you grow up?

I'm surprised they are restrained as they are. Roderick has been jealous of their blog since day one. He has tried to cause problems for them behind the scenes with various council offices, etc. He then published personal information about the owners when they asked him to (you notice he was the only one who did such).
Roderick is a pimple on the face of the blog world. Most journos don't take him seriously.
I look at this blog for some amusement, as well as background information on the movers, shakers, and shufflers in City politics.
As for Dave in San Pedro, if you don't like the comments here, try the ultimate censorship tool: switch blogs (or the channel, whichever turns you on).

Roderick is trying really hard to ignore you guys. He failed to do so with Martini Republic.
I think Roderick is very well respected and there is definitely room for both blogs. They're not the same thing. One is news and one is anonymous gossip which could or could not be true.
When the gossip blog is true; it can expose dirty dealings at City Hall. When it's untrue; it can hurt reputations at City Hall. That's pretty powerful.
Kevin would be more respected if he didn't use his blog to masturbate his ego.
