SPAM for CD 14
Yesterday was Huizar. Today we are served our beloved SPAM from Team Pacheco:
Councilman Nick Pacheco listened to the people of Mt. Washington and took an aggressive position against the development of Moon Canyon. When the Councilman left office in 2003 he fully funded the acquisition of Moon Canyon based on appraisals done at the time.
Last week, we find out through Clare Marter-Kenyon of Mt. Washington, the City finished this Councilman Pacheco initiated project and purchased the property.
Thanks to Councilman Nick Pacheco and Mayor Villaraigosa this open space will be available for years to come.
Congratulations are in order for all the community members who worked so diligently to pursue this acquisition!!
We look forward to the grand opening.

Yup, big meeting tonight. Let's see if Antonio, Lisa Sarno and Jose show up and get BOOOED. Apparently, Lisa failed to show up to a big "mural meeting" last night because they would have blasted her. No communication from the CD 14 reps whatsoever.
The Pachuecos and the rest of the 'Boyle Heights is the center of the Universe' crowd need to broaden their horizons a bit.

Hey 9:32, isn't Nick's campaign headquarters in Highland Park? You need to broaden your mind a bit and inform yourself before you mouth off.
I'm voting Pacheco. So CD14 can actually be SERVED by their councilman
10:00 - the Pachueco HQ is in BH. He's got an office on York, but the mentality is BH first, last and always. The point isn't about HP. It's a lot bigger than that.
10:03anon The mentality is NOT Bh first. If you knew any thing about campaigns you would know it's about working certain universes. My money is on Pacheco. Poor Jose is going to end up just like Cetina a pretty face lost in a sea of a million pretty faces. Pachecos record and personality turn around will have as G- Unit would say "this under dogs on top and he ain't gonna stop till his heart stops...."

I keep seeing these e-mails from Team Pacheco focusing on real issues and real solutions. When will the Huizar campaign give us something meaningful?
We need help in CD14, not just lip service.
Pacheco, Chavez and Kennedy, all down for the community.
Pacheco's moving among the people and the downtown interest are just waiting to see when Huizar will get community support, if ever.
Why won't Huizar release his poll results?
Pacheco is far more qualified, Huizar can't even do his job at the school district. How can he help run a city when the drop out rate at LAUSD is so enormous that he can't even help bring it down. Huizar will be AV's puppet and will do whatever AV wants. AV can't even run a city, he thinks his good looks will solve all the problems. AV is dirty too and should be investigated. I'm sure DA is slowly looking at AV, then Chick will turn on him like she did Hahn.
My vote for Pacheco.

Actually Chick was NEVER supportive of Hahn. She endorsed AV in 2001 for Mayor and 2003 for Councilman.
But one reason why I want Pacheco to win is because of the ethics committee seat that is still open for who ever wins CD14. Meaning if AV is to be held accountable Pacheco has to win CD14 if not. Huizar will just be the Mayor's Puppet.
My vote for Huizar. Pacheco is a has been.

If Pacheco is a has been, which facts dictate otherwise, then Huizar is a never been.
My prediction: Huizar pulls out before November 8.

Did Jose and Nick show up? How about Gilbert Cedillo, since he has nothing to push in Sacto.. maybe he'd drop into the old neighborhood and see what residents really want! I hear he be at the opening of the new day laborer center at the Home Depot on San Fernando...? See you there!
