Rick Caruso - Don't let the door hit you in the ...

CarusoAccording to the press release just distributed from Caruso Affiliated, Rick Caruso (Owner of the Grove) sent a letter to MEAV announcing his resignation from the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners. Citing his confidence in the current LAPD command staff, and his need to spend more time managing his company, Caruso said his resignation will be effective July 1, 2005 or upon the confirmation of his replacement.

Some nuggets from the release:

"As a member and former President of the Police Commission for the past four years, it has been a privilege and honor to serve both the people of this city as well as the proud men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department. As I know you are aware, no one deserves our respect and strong support more than the men and women who work day in and day out to keep Los Angeles safe," Caruso said in his letter.

"Although more is left to do, the turn-around is complete and I feel I can step down while leaving the Department in the capable hands of our current senior command," Caruso said.

Translation - I backed the wrong horse, and rather than face the music, I'll claim complete credit for the good, pretend like the bad never happened, and hide behind the brave men and women who actually put their butts on the line defending us if you try to say anything bad about me, and run for the hills since my sweetheart deals are up.

To the men and women in blue, WE LOVE YOU. To Mr. Caruso, don't let the door hit you in the...

Idiots!!! At least Caruso had the gutts to stick to his decision and get rid of that loser Parks. He has done more then his share as a volunteer on the police commission. He is also on the board of Para de Los Ninos and gives a ton of his money to a lot of charities throughout the city. Too bad you can't say that about Antonio. Watch MEAV put those racists on the commission now and piss off every officer on the force. LAPD loves Caruso and they know how much he did for them. They also know that those idiots Murray and John Mack hate LAPD and will be nothing but trouble for the dept.

The website Bitter Waitress has the following about Rick:

My daughter is working hostess in a restaurant located in The Grove, a big, mall in Los Angeles.

The owner of the Grove, Rick Caruso, is the president of the Police Commision and he own so many malls in California.

He charging the all the employee $5.00 everyday for parking in his big 8 -story garage. The garage can put over 3000 cars!

Even on the Mondays, when only the garage is only half-full. He still like to charge the empoyees 5$ for the parking!!! Why?

My poor daughter is working hard and studying to be an actress and she's just graduate college last year. Her student loans is $160 a month. Her health insurance is $95.00 for one month. And she working in the night. Then she pay $80.00 a month also for parking her car now!

Before, she parking in the street and walk to her car for ten minutes.

But 2 weeks ago one of the waiters from the other resaurant. He was walking to his car at 10:00 in the Sunday night after he finishing work.

He was stab in the back of the neck by a homeless. The homeless leave a six-inch knife in the waiters neck to die.

I say pobresito. I tell my daughter she needs to get a second job so she can pay for park in the garage. She tell me that the waiters and employees is not allowed to park in the 8-floor garge on the weekend. Thats how come the waiter don't parking there. She say Rick Caruso make the empoyees paying $5.00 in the weekend to park, but he make them park at the parking lot at CBS tv Studios. They still have to walking ten minutes so nobody want to pay $5.oo for parking ten -minutes away, because they can parking ten minutes away for free in the street.

I was crying in Church last Sunday and I pray for this man Rick Caruso that he find God in his heart and let the children parking when he have the room in his 8 floor garge to let them parking for free. Then maybe in the weekend they can afford to parking in the lot where is the security guard are.

My daughter she say all of the employees is parking in the street in the weekend , because they pay for parking every day during the week, so if they seeing a free parking in the street in the weekend, they parking in the free spot in the street.

She say sometimes the waitresses in the restaurant pay $12 in the weekend for parking in the weekend night, because they want to be safe in the 8-floor garage and not walk too far in the night. And no employee discount in garage on the weekends.

I tell my daughter to go to the funeral service for the waiter to say she's sorry to his mother for she's loosing her only son. She went to the service they having in the resaturant in the grove for the family. She say she was leaving the service on the Monday of the service and the mother is crying and the owners of the restaurant is sad and crying also. And all of the waiters and the waitress is crying.

Then I say , next time you working late in the weekend, I give you money for parking in the garage, even you $12.00 maximum rate. She say,"Mama they raise the maximum rate. Is more than 12$ maximum for parking, they raise it to keep employees out of the parking so the customers can park and eating in the Cheesecake Factory."

I hope somebody do something with RicK Caruso. He coming from a bad family and never go to Church.

Paul Kim is retired and now on Antonio's transition team. Paul Kim was in a closed door meeting and ran and told everyone what Rick said. Stupid moron crybaby. Paul Kim was promoted by Parks knowing full well he had an arrest record and a domestic violence one at that.

Parks is a corrupt, inept, vindictative ex-police chief. Rank & File hate him. He almost destroyed LAPD. Interesting how no one goes after him for making us lose 1,000 cops. Now with Antonio listening to his every word and giving him power it just goes to show how stupid Antonio really is or how he wants those black votes when he runs for gov. in 2007.

Connie Rice gave her Blue Ribbon Rampart Investigation report last week to commission. It goes before PUblic Safety on Monday. Why didn't the press pick up on it?

Caruso, the chief executive officer of Caruso Affiliated and owner of The Grove shopping center, served on the Police Commission for four years. During that time, the panel oversaw the replacement of Police Chief Bernard Parks with Chief William Bratton, the implementation of LAPD's flexible work schedule, and the return of the senior lead officer program -- efforts that have been credited for an 18 percent drop in crime.

The Greatest

Monday, Feb. 03, 1958

In sunny California, some of the world's sharpest auto salesmen provide a deal of shade. Last week the shadiest of them all was popped into the cooler. Convicted on charges of conspiracy, grand theft and forgery, Auto Dealer Henry J. Caruso—billed as "the greatest" in his radio and TV singing commercials—was packed off to jail for a year, fined $10,000, and enjoined for the next ten years from entering any business in which he would be selling to the public. After Caruso, wary Californians agreed, the public needed a ten-year respite. At his used-and-new Dodge. Pontiac and Plymouth...

Connie Rice held her report until after the election. Doesn't make Parks look too good as LA Times reported that there's a photo with Parks' daughter, Perez and Mack the officer who people think had something to do with B.I.G. killing. Mack is now doing time for bank robbery. Parks' daughter was also arrested in Vegas possessing cocaine. She's a total loser that daddy can't control.

As long as Rick has Matt Middlebrook on his payroll, he'll be meddling in City affairs. Don't look for him to go very far away.

It is always smart to anticipate the firing by resigning, and no one ever said that Caruso is not smart.

He is arrogant beyond belief and very successful, but who knows how much was the result of Hahn paving the way for the deals.

That having been said, he was one of the few adults in the Hahn mass of incompetants and kiddies, which is why he stood out.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Anon 6:10 The only problem with your theory is that no one seems to know where the picture is. It's just one of many rumors that have never been proven. Take a look at the ENTIRE Times article. Reading is fundamental:

"Rumors of the photo have circulated in LAPD circles for years, but its existence has never been confirmed."

June 26, 2005 10:06 AM

Anonymous Anonymous said:

A lot of command staff have seen the photo. It all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, reading is fundamental so you should get the book "Labyrinth" by Randall Sullivan...A former LAPD detective Poole says a police conspiracy stopped him from solving the murder of Notorious B.I.G., but can he really make his case?

Parks did everything he could cause the RAmpart investigation was starting to implicate him and his corrupt friends. Parks knew Mack long before Rampart broke. Also, one of Parks corrupt command staffers gave O.J. the gun he had in the bronco chase. Why didn't that ever come out?

June 26, 2005 10:25 AM

Anonymous Anonymous said:

The reason it didn't come out, A-HOLE is because it isn't true. If Parks was guilty of half the stuff he's accused of one this blog and everywhere else... he would be in jail. How can he 1.) Cover up Rampart 2.) Cover up the Biggie Smalls case 3.)Be responsible for giving O.J. the gun... and he's never been brought to trial, arrested, indicted on any of these. When in the history of the world has a black man been able to get away with all this? Would you like to pin the Cold War and Apartheid on him too? You need to just embrace the fact that people like you and your PPL friends cost Mayor Hahn his job, and at least for the next four years, you should get used to being on the losing end of a lot of battles. And, it's all because of "Bitter Bernie"!

Every black I've spoken to state that OJ was found not guilty because it was payback to white society for their injustice to them. How stupid is that? How stupid is it that the blacks didn't vote for Hahn simply because he got rid of an idiot chief? They don't think Antonio is a leader or can run this city but they were so vindicative towards Hahn they voted for ADV. Go figure!!!

Because that Bitch Maxine Waters made them believe that Hahn fired more Black officials than just Bernie Parks, when in fact it was the opposite, he HIRED more of them on his staff and on very important commisions such as the Housing Department.

Also let's not forget a good friend Councilman Ludlow was under FBI investigation for his shady deals with a developer on MTA properties. Most of these developments happened during the election and was placed in the back pages. Now convieniently he's Interim head of the Labor Organizations and now out of site out of mind from his corruption from AV's team.

These next 4 years will be pretty interesting. I think a lot of folks will be very, VERY disapointed.

True. Hahn hired some blacks to his staff. But, no one in the black community knew who they were. And, many of them were useless. Hahn tried to pick a black leader for South L.A. after trying to get rid of a leader they remain very fond of. And, that's why he lost the election. You cannot go around telling blacks or any races who they're leaders are. And, you have no right to criticize their votes. No one stopped you from voting for that criminal Hahn, so don't you go telling them why they were wrong NOT to vote for him. Everyone has a right to vote on the candidate they want for any reason they choose.

"Hahn tried to pick a black leader for South L.A. after trying to get rid of a leader they remain very fond of."

Which leader are you referring to?

He ignored the elephant in his front yard, the Police Protective League which was a manifestation of a huge ego. No Chief can get any of their programs working if the rank and file don't buy into it. Parks did to the Police Protective League what Gates did to Mayor Bradley. Shut off all communication which is nothing more than juvenile big egos. That attitude doesn't serve the people or the police one bit. They should be ashamed of themselves. Bratton gets it. At least he talks with the Police Protective League.

List the things Parks has done in his two years as Councilman? Most of what he's done is basically carried over from Mark Ridley Thomas' work such as bringing the NFL to LA, the Marlton Square Project.

You know why I ask, because 1) I'm in his district Vermont/48th
