The rudeness of some individuals who decide to post false rumors of women confirms the fact that many are not acceptable of powerful women. Earlier I posted I don't think there is an affair and to leave that woman alone by a previous poster, remember? With all sincerity, the previous poster who bashed this woman should reconsider the rummors and innuendos he/she is sinking to and at what level the instigation is heading. I should correct myself by saying this, there is no affair and all of the individuals fueling this rumor have taken the bait from a person who has a personal agenda against Villaraigosa.
Mayor Sam this week you were the joke of the city. E-mails sent citywide making fun of the all time low this site has gone.

Post some of those emails. I heard that the Mayor's staff was going around ripping the "V" keys off all the computers on the third floor. Apparently too they have been posting up California maps with the words "Los Angeles is in America!"
Former Bustamante aide admits fraud Embezzlement topped $65,000, court records state.(MAIN NEWS)
SACRAMENTO -- Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante's former fiscal officer embezzled more than $65,000 from the state, spending part of the money for a down payment on a sports car and trips to Hawaii, court records state.
Michael Keolanui, 34, has admitted in federal court to using his state credit card for personal expenses, then paying the bills with checks drawn on an account Bustamante uses to buy supplies and office equipment.
Keolanui also admitted he submitted expense forms to the state Controller's Office

Thanks for that other Cruz Bustamante embezzlement charge. The embezzlement charge against Jenny Lacey Caron in Antonio's office came straight from the CD14 field staffers who don't like her. They said that's why she was fired.

Bustamante Ordered to Return Illegal Union Contributions, but Oops, He already Spent Them
A California judge ruled on Sept. 22 that Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante (D) violated that states campaign contribution limits by using more than $1 million from 3 unions to fight an anti-race preferences proposition. He was ordered to return the contributions, but Bustamantes campaign strategist said that the funds have already been spent on TV ads.
MOTTEK: "It has been reported Mr. Villaraigosa that when you were at UCLA you were active in a Latino rights group which among other things says in its constitution that it is in favor of forming a separate republic in the Southwest United States. Do you hold the beliefs of that organization as your own and do you still support the group and what do you tell kids that see this kind of stuff on the Internet?"
VILLARAIGOSA: "I say that we have to do everything to combat hate and ignorance. I say that we need to do what the [Simon Wiesenthal] Museum of Tolerance has done. The spectacle of pay-to-play casino politics has become so egregious in California, many believe it was a deciding issue in the recall. California tribes spent more on the recall than did any other special interest. They gave $8.2 million (in direct and indirect contributions) to Democratic Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante, hoping to anoint him as ex-Governor Gray Davis' successor. They also bankrolled conservative Republican Tom McClintock for $2.5 million to help split votes away from their archenemy Schwarzenegger. A Superior Court judge eventually ruled that Bustamante illegally rerouted the Indian largesse through a side channel to avoid new spending limits, and ordered him to give the money back. By then, he had already spent it.
The high-heaven stink did not escape the public. It didn't help that Bustamante's lead campaign strategist, Richie Ross, worked for the Indian tribes, or that his younger brother Andrew was the general manager of an Indian casino near Fresno. Or that the Lt. Governor excused the Indians from his proposed $8 billion in "tough love" tax hikes to reduce the state's $38 billion deficit. "Everybody has to pay something," Bustamante proclaimed. Everybody except the Indians who gave him $8.2 million, apparently.

I agree with you. There are some loser CD 14 guys who are insanely jealous of our new Mayor and his succcess that they are creating a seemingly false rumor about a girl named Jenny Caron Lacey (who I guess is married) and trying to link her and Mayor-elect Villaraigosa in some sort of an illicit affair, by innuendo.
I, personally, am sick of it, and although I do not know the woman, I do know Corina, I agree with you that it is low life and beneath a decent person to do this.
I join with you in imploring Mayor Sam or Chief Parker (I always used to call you "Bull") to censor any further posts defaming this woman.
It is off base, insulting and not in keeping with the spirit of this blog.
I will also say that if it is not stopped, I will stop posting here myself, as I prefer to avoid insideous, low life, sliming of people based on their sexual relations.
It has nothing, absoluteluy nothing, to do with the future of Los Angeles.

I was fed up by all the negative innuendos against this woman. All I know is that when Villaraigosa was elected mayor, there seemed to be a sense of pride that has overlapped on all the community, you sense it in the people when you see them at restaurants, parks, and overall multicultural society. Many are threatened by this concept, I on the other hand embrace the diversity.
I wish those of you in the box to embrace diversity and understand empathy towards others.
I just love humanity and what it can accomplish once it knows its capabilities, regardless of ethnicity.

By insinuating that a Cynthia is Maura (moi), is the exact same reason some of you helped Hahn lose. That personal grudge you have against the rightly elected mayor is such a weak weapon of war, that it just proves that slanderous innuendos are thrown at us carelessly. If you care about your city, then let it flourish under a man named Antonio Villaraigosa that has a vision to give each child the tool to achieve their goals. BTW, I wish I would have seen this site before the election. I have gone back to read some of the stuff that was posted by antivillaraigosa people, and it is a disgrace to see so much hatred against a man who wants the best for every child in our community, every person.
I just began posting here a couple of days ago and I notice the way many persons shove negative stories as if they were true. Life can be short, since we never know, why don't you do something productive for your community. Give ideas, participate, volunteer, volunteer anywhere.

BTW during the election Antonio's people posted the most horrible personal things about Hahn. In fact MEAT went a little further and said mean things about Hahn's ex-wife, his kids etc. So now that Antonio is mayor it's FREE SPEECH AND GO FOR ALL. He's a public figure and so fair game. Online services should be screened for legitimacy. I would not want anyone to use a service without any background check first.
Some online sites are not reputable and may have those pedophiles, rapists lurking...we do not want that. However, some sites are legitimate and reputable. Therefore, Mayor Sam's site is one that seems acceptable place to post for adults.
Everyone should be aware and always alert whenever they are online and using any service, we don't want to attract or service any of the negative creatures that you mentioned. Still, I disagree with your concept that a woman would need to be desperate. With the new age technology, this is just another option. I do not consider myself desperate, and far from ugly...I would still consider using this type of service in the future.
It is a shame that the blog went so negative from what you state and we hope that in order for this city to thrive that all people understand to come together for the benefit of the city.
Kids have hope now, if they didn't before and it comes from seeing a minority candidate elected to office representing one of the largest cities in the U.S. Latinos & African Americans keep your heads up high and be proud, do not buy into the concept of racial differences, instead focus on what you have in common. We are all in America to prosper and make a better and happy life to live in. If any high school kid reads this, concentrate on college, stay away from bullying and remember that in the long run the reward will be much nicer.

You sound like a Tony the Liar speech writer. Latino and Black kids have been seeing their kind win elections since the 1960's. Has anything changed? No, in fact things have gotten worse because these "minority" elected officials don't get blamed for the problems facing inner city kids. Words mean nothing and Tony isn't smart enough to take any action, he doesn't know where to start. But you wouldn't know that from hearing his speeches. According to him, everything is going to be all right - if we just speak the right words. MLK and Chavez took action - marches, teach ins, hunger strikes, direct empowerment - all things Tony the Liar isn't capable of even contemplating. You're dead wrong Maura, kids have no more hope today than they did yesterday or 40 years ago, the proof is in the statistics. Try studying them instead of just gloosying everything over with rosy words.

I just read your post, well, I am not a speech writer for Antonio, although it would have been an honor to do so. In addition, you mentioned "Latino and Black kids have been seeing their kind elected since the 60's."
Your view of our society is dismal and loss of hope. On the contrary, I feel that the more minority officials put in place representing all of what Los Angeles represents is the ideal way to go. You should not give up on a society in whole, especially the kids. Many decisions made at the political level may have had negative consequences to the kids schooling (LAUSD), but now is not the time to only critic, but to correct. We need to bring accountability and hope to these school children that need guidance they may not find elsewhere. It is our responsibility as a society to furnish this to them, so as adults they can do the same and contribute to a healthier environment. Also, YOU are wrong about kids not having more hope, they do. It is the political system that they are at the mercy of, they have hope and only by bringing appropriate educaters, counselors, administrators, and community acitivists can these kids with hope use it to better themselves and others.
I agree about the statistics, they are horrible. Something is absolutely wrong when the statistics show unacceptable results. However, this should motivate our politicians and school administrators to make the necessary changes FAST, and I mean fast to get these kids in gear for a competitive world.
