Mayor Sam's Mayoral Endorsement
First off let's start off with who not to vote for.Don't vote for Walter Moore. We've made it clear why Walter would be real bad for LA. He talks a good game on illegal immigration and some other issues, but here is a guy who wants to deny property the owners the right to build on their land and wants to shut down legitimate businesses such as pet shops. Besides - who the hell is this guy?
Don't vote for James Hahn. This mayor is by far the worst in LA history, even worse than I was. Lately, he's been acting like me too with his back against the well trying to scare white people. Sigh. Pay to play, whatever, this guy is boring and doesn't have the vision for a modern LA.
So who am I picking? Stay tuned.

First, you are correct, "Anybody but Hahn." Dump Hahn on March 8!
Second, you continue to distort Walter Moore's platform on development and pets.
Walter is not against development- he's against overdevelopment. Walter supports property rights for the existing zoning on properties and the bundled rights with them. What he is against are the variances and density bonuses that create bigger developments beyond the allowed zoning. This is how we get developments that are out of scale with the surrounding community and increased traffic impacts.
Walter has a innovative idea that pet shops can help the city animal shelters sell stray animals. America in general and L.A. in particular have a pet overpopulation problem. By using a market-based approach, Walter has a solution to having a "no kill" animal shelter policy and less animals will be destoryed simply because they are not wanted or not beautiful (pure bread).

Gay Al must have a big hard on for him, because his softball interview of this wacko made a Larry King show look like hard hitting journalism. Thank God at a point that Mr. KABC came on and asked Wacko Walter some real questions like how Walter plans to pay for some of his schemes.
For Wyatt's knowledge, Wally told Al that he (Walter) is a pro-gay, pro-choice "Liberal Republican."

Bill Wyatt is an idiot. He's like the geek in school who sat with your group at lunch only because you felt sorry for him.
And Hertzberg, who I'm going to assume you're endorsing, is an idiot as well. While he was in the State Assembly, he helped passed legislation in such a way that when he got out, he benefitted from. Imagine him being mayor working on legislation that, when he gets out of office (I'm hoping he doesn't get in to begin with) he'll reep the benefits of whatever legislation he passes.
That's not what I want for in a mayor -- thinking about himself 24/7. I want a mayor who actually beleives in the city of Los Angeles and the people who reside in it. Not about himself.
That's all I have to say about that.

1) The mayor HAS NO POWER to break up LAUSD.
2) The lights are ALREADY SYNCRONIZED in most parts of the city (The problem here is too many cars, not enough road)
3) LA City DOESNT DO ROAD CONSTRUCTION during rush hour now (Unless it is emergency repair). and the Mayor HAS NO SAY over Cal Trans.

So here is Senator Alarcon. Quietly waiting. Wants to give control to Neighborhood Councils, will NOT renew the BFI contract with Sunshine Canyon, and has a workable plan to put cops on the street. So why isn't he leading??? Because for as much as we love to bitch about "pay to play" the one candidate who isn't being paid, can't get his message out.
In a perfect world, Senator Alarcon would pull off a victory on Tuesday. I will cast my vote for Alarcon, not only is he the best choice... as it turns out he is the only real choice... as the previous poster said ... IF we want to change City Hall.
THanks, Jim Alger. Are you friggin' kidding me? Alarcon's plans are as half-baked as they come? Like his police hiring plan. Despite being illegal (and he knows that as Riordan tried to take money from the airport and elsewhere to hire cops and it was found to be illegal), his math sucks. He talks about hiring 1000 new officers with $225 million in new money. Last I looked cops are about $100,000 each, not $225,000. Only Alarcon would undercut his own proposal by 1250 cops because he can't add and divide!
And as a progressive, he is pandering to the neighborhood councils and doing very little to promote new housing or new jobs if he talks in the NIMBY tone he has found in the last couple of weeks (which runs counter to his actions as councilmember and Senator).
And the idea that he hasn't gone negative, gimme a break. He held a news conference on the Eastside to bash Antonio for Enron (too bad no one showed up and that he advertised it as a press conference for the 710 freeway extension).
I say vote for none of 'em.
Oh yeah, and the idea that he doesn't get a bunch of special interest money is a joke. Look through two pages of his donation reports. He's upset he couldn't raise more, but anyone who has Richie Ross as a campaign manager, ain't exactly working for or with the good guys!

I have a problem with Alarcon going around town with George Lopez. Bitter Bernie cruising with Ali and Huggy with Riordan. George makes fun of Latinos to make money. He pokes jokes at the culture. Riordan and Bitter Bernie are both corrupt because of The Pantry. One day the whole corruption money laundering story should come out.
It seems the poll is busted since it has Alarcon pre-selected at the top as a choice. Then if you click the bottom link "Total Votes", without choosing a candidate, you are inadvertantly casting a vote for Alarcon. There should be a none-of-the-above radio button at the top instead of a candidate's name or a view results link that doesn't require voting.
Don't you guys understand that there's such a thing as attorney-client privilege. Hertzberg CAN'T say who his clients are without their prior consent. It's like asking a doctor what patients he's worked on... the doctor can't talk about that unless they say it's ok. And if you people read the newspaper, you'd see that he asked his clients whether or not he could disclose them, and most of them said no. It would be ILLEGAL and get him DISBARRED if he went public with it without his clients' consent, so frankly, I don't blame him.
Don't insult us with your crap. Why is HUGGY getting paid $20,000 a month for doing nothing from the law firm? That's not client privilege so answer the question.
ADV is sounding like a little girl saying Hahn is saying lies and being mean. He needs his ass taken to a dark alley and made a man into him. What a crybabay! He's coming off to people like a whimp little pussy against Hahn's great negative ads telling people what a corrupt fool he is. He hasn't done shit in his own community and has spent more time out of his district. He has that little man syndrome.
