FROM MEAT:

So after taking my Prozac this morning i heard mayor hahn on KABC. I like how one staffer after the other came on and asked mayor hahn questions like they were undecided voters. Scott Street, was first, then the fat guy that follows the mayor wherever he goes with big hahn signs was second. It was pathetic but a real sign of how his supporters are all fake and won't come to this mayor's side.

That said, interesting game of communication jiu-jitsu yesterday by Hahn's communication team -- Councilmember Villaraigosa and Mr Weiss find $10 million to actually pay for 90 real police officers. Hahn's deputy mayor slowdoanelui hasitly said that Hahn would add more in his city budget to be released in April.

When asked how -- he didn't have a specific answer, but when does anyone on the mayor's staff have an answer to anything. They do have an answer for stress, its called alcohol, and they drink a lot of it.

SO let's do some math now,

Villaraigosa and colleagues find money for over 360 cops --

Mayor Hahn 4 years as mayor - 87

But whatever, why let facts get in the way of a perfectly good election.

Fly on the wall would love to know what Hahn is annoucning at 10am -- he so remembers 4 years ago when the Women Who Hate Hahn trailed him wherever he went last time. I suppose he doesn't want to see their faces again.

Mr Hahn...they are lurking behind the bushes again - lookout!

The most interesting article today is about Hertzberg spinning the dross of political relationships into cold hard cash. Renting out his relationship with Molina? Intervening to keep state regulators off of a sleazy auto-repair chain? And Mayer Brown is still paying him $25K a month. For what?

New nickname: Bob the Bilker.

"Can he fix it?" Well, no, but lets keep paying him anyway.

MEAT I'm sure you are livid at the press Hahn is getting today. The papers say ADV won't be able to hire those cops for a couple of years. Yet, Hahn can hire as soon as July. I loved the LAT article on the special interest money. That is going to hurt ADV and Huggy bigtime. Will show them as hypocritical idiots who have been attacking Hahn for months and yet they're not better. You would love to think those were Hahn staffers. Sorry MEAT they were NOT. They were CD14 people who hate Antonio.

FROM MEAT:

Cause when i tried to call scott his cell went straight to voicemail -- this guy is up early everyday. As for Rolondo, i talked to him right after and he admitted it was him, laughing, that said he still is fat.

As for the donations by bob and Antonio -- 100% fair game. Go after them for it, you as a citizen can, but you know something real interesting between Hahn, Bob and Antonio.

Bob and Antonio raise millions -- no investigation.

Lil Jimmy raises millions -- District Attorney, City Attorney, Ethics Commission, US Attorney, Attorney General, Grand Jury #1, Grand Jury #2, City Controller and my dog catcher all investigating mayor hahn.

Soooo hahn can bring this subject up, buuttt you are debating on a plane that only highlights the arguments against Hahn. If i were Hahn i'd stick to the public safety debate and run away from this one. Buutt please keep on debating this, make campaign donations the primary debate of this entire campaign.

Funny you would see it that way MEAT. Tons of people are crying foul because these 2 have been the biggest attackers of Hahn and gee look what turns up. LAT states that when ADV and Huggy got money from these special interests they in turn VOTED IN FAVOR OF THEM IN LEGISLATURE. You don't see anything wrong in that MEAT????? You are crooked as your boss ADV.

At the end of the day, it is clear that all politicians take money for something. Today's LA Times article exposed Villaraigosa and Hertzberg as being no different.

The current investigations are going nowhere and they never will. It's a dead horse and let's stop beating it.

MEAT is right about one thing. This race will come down to public safety, again, and Villaraigosa will alway lose on that one because of his prior ACLU background. Plus, most people don't trust liberals when it comes to crime fighting.

Where's the criminal investigation -- oh yeah they are sifting through Shannon Murphy's e-mails right now. So maybe they don't have the time to find all the crimes you think are there.

GEE, guess what - being perceived as the "leader" in the race means YOU ARE THE #1 media target. Can't hide behind in the incumbent's shadow and just sling mud anymore. Enjoy...

Time has come to acknowledge that at this point in the process, all media become pretty much useless - other than for ads. Nearly everything reported on from now until March 7 will be "manufactured" news - good, bad, or otherwise - planted by one camp or the other through releases, leaks, tips, etc. The reporters are ill-informed about the city, at best, and are on autopilot taking in the massive amount of last-minute flack from all sides and juggling them against their own pre-conceived notions about who's dirty and who doesn't deserve anymore press.

The big papers in the area don't want to risk missing a smoking gun so they'll bite on any reasonable suggestion against anyone -- especially top contenders. It doesn't matter that much, in the end. Seasoned voters have pretty much decided, and have a certain amount of immunity from the late chatter anyway -- they see it every couple years, and realize most never pans out after ballots are cast. Many of the undecideds in this crowded a race will never show up at the polls -- too confused to pivk ot too disgusted by the slime and the process.

Hey previous poster on the ACLU stuff what do you mean? I know Antonio sued I think it was LAPD. Please elaborate. Well at least the LAT isn't holding back. Shocked they printed 2 stories about their boys but then from what I heard they were from reporters in Sacramento not here in tabloid LA. Hope they continue

MEAT Bill Fijuoka says this in papers......Still, the city's top budget analyst said Villaraigosa's plan may take a few years before providing the 90 sought-after officers. So now what?????
