A Personal Note .................
Our Thoughts and Prayers on this Wednesday are with longtime Mayor Sam Reader and Supporter Robert Guevara, who's loving wife Patricia, passed away after a sudden/unexpected health matter on April 2.
** Blogger's Note: Please pardon us as we take a temporary time out from our normal bloggin, sardonic musings to note the sad passing of Eagle Rock Activist Robert Guevara's loving wife Patricia.after a short, unexpected illness. Many in the Neighborhood Council Community of Activists, will surely note Robert's regular attendance at the monthly Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Coalition (LANCC) Meetings and his steadfast commitment to Open and Transparent Governess. Robert is, and has been a longtime Mayor Sam supporter, sharing his opinions via the comment section (in addition to extensive conversations at various times). But most important, Robert was blessed with a loving Soul Mate, who's wit and humor this writer will remember from meeting her during the Medical Marijuana-influenced, contentious 2012 Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council Elections, Our Thoughts and Prayers are with Robert and his Family during this time of Profound Loss----Scott Johnson.
Patricia and Robert Guevara.
From Robert Guevara's Facebook Page:
It is with much sadness that our family shares the notice of the passing of my wife, Patricia Guevara. She left us on Saturday, April 2, 2016, surrounded family and friends, following a sudden and unexpected health matter that had caused her hospitalization.
Among the things about Patricia that is most remembered by all is her spirit that was evidenced by her smile and amicable nature. She enjoyed working with people, with many friendships gained over her life, that included a good amount of easy laughter as a part of her personal and professional life. A devoted wife, mother and friend, we will gather to honor her on Wednesday.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at St. Dominic Church, 2002 Merton Ave. in Eagle Rock (L.A. 90041) at 2 pm with a rosary, followed by a mass. Reception in the parish hall will follow
