A Bloggin Exercise in Fact-checking Councilman Huizar Campaign Mailer # 1
With the first of CD 14 Clowncilman Jose "The Tonto Huevon" Huizar's Campaign Mailers arriving in the mailboxes, we engage in the Public Service of deconstructing the alleged factual statements made within its glossy contents.
Believe ME (or naught), I only had occasional, consensual sex with that former Deputy Chief of Staff Francine Godoy (while modifying my office for her exclusive access, allegedly).
** Blogger's Note: With January, 2015 nearing its calendar end this weekend, the Campaign of embattled CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose "The Tonto Huevon" Huizar is the first to bless the mail boxes of the electorate with glossy, self-promoting material ........,** but before moving onwards, we bring you this bloggin Disclaimer via former CD 14 City Councilman Nick Pacheco..........., I, Lauro "Nick" Pacheco hereby states that Jose Huizar (the former Political Mijo of my 2003 nemesis, former Mayor Antonio Ramon Villar), is the best candidate to take credit, in finishing my numerous CD 14 Projects (allegedly). With disclaiming formalities dispensed, we endeavor to fact check the first of what will surely be a former grove of old growth forest, turned into pronouncements of spin, on the behalf of the self-noting Princeton Graduate. After all, if our current CD Catorce Officeholder can consent to an occasional Act of Infidelity with well-paid staff, then its plausible that his Campaign Mailers may contain an occasional, misstatement of truth---Scott Johnson in CD 14.
What has Clowncilman Huizar taken credit for ....., whoops, done for your community?
From Page Two of his initial Pronouncement of Achievement, we deconstruct each of the four "Talkinggraphs of Spin", regarding his supposed "Unprecedented Accomplishments" as CD 14's Clowncilman.
First, the Boyle Heights Talkinggraph of Spin: "JOSE HUIZAR has bought unprecedented improvements to Boyle Heights, including a new police station, a new City Hall, expanded public transportation, improvements to all parks, three new schools and is rebuilding the 6th Street Bridge as a safer, pedestrian and bike friendly connection between Boyle Heights and downtown".
The truth .........., please refer to the Lauro "Nick" Pacheco Disclaimer above. Also note that if your firm donated money to the Salesian High School Fundraising Drive (in the hopes of gaining attention for your Sixth Street Bridge Contract Proposal, allegedly), you may want to inquire with the school's "Development Director", whether she receives a percentage of the proceeds as part of her compensation? Lastly, how many CD 14 Clowncilpersons have allowed historic green space to be placed within a Redevelopment Zone?
Second, the El Sereno Talkinggraph of Spin: "Under JOSE HUIZAR"s leadership, Elephant Hill and Ascot Hills Park in El Sereno were preserved as open space, and a new community park-El Sereno Arroyo Playground-was born. He led the effort to construct the Valley Blvd. overpass tp prevent congestion in El Sereno from train traffic and is replacing the Soto/Mission Bridge to increase safety, improve traffic flow and add green space".
The truth ........, please refer to the Lauro "Nick" Pacheco Disclaimer above regarding Ascot Hills, The Valley Blvd. Bridge and the Soto/Mission Bridge (these projects are years in the making). Further, we are sure that noted Land Use Attorney Ben Resnik (and his Monterey Hills Developer clients) is in complete agreement with Clowncilman Huizar on the over-inflated, Elephant Hill Open Space purchase, with $9 million dollars in barrowed money.
Third, the Downtown LA Talkinggraph of Spin: "LA's neglected historic downtown has been reborn as an exciting and thriving urban neighborhood. JOSE HUIZAR has brought in new hotels, outstanding new restaurants, much needed housing and is returning a modern streetcar to downtown to connect downtown's neighborhoods, bring 26,000 jobs and a $1.6 billion economic boom to the local economy" .
The blunt truth is ......., that Clowncilman Huizar's taking credit for creating 26,000 jobs and a economic boom of $1.6 billion dollars in economic growth, is an insult to former CD 9 City Councilwoman Jan Perry, who saw ten years plus of work taken from her in a backroom-crafted, now litigious Redistricting Process ......., and don't hold your breath in waiting to board the Huizzy Legacy Choo Choo anytime soon.
Fourth, the Northeast LA Talkinggraph of Spin: "JOSE HUIZAR worked to revitalize commercial districts along Colorado and York. He made improvements to all parks in the Northeast portion of the 14th Council District and is adding a neighborhood park at the corner of Ave 50 and York in Highland Park. He protected our quality of life in Northeast Los Angeles and is leading the fight to stop the expansion of the Scholl Canyon Landfill north of Eagle Rock".
The truth is ........., please refer to the Lauro "Nick" Pacheco Disclamer above. Further, in 2010, a campaign poll alerted the Princeton Graduate that unless he showed the Northeast some patronage, that area could easily vote in favor of a challenger. Since then, the incumbent has dispensed the payola to targeted groups as we near election time, while still neglecting the larger population.
