"Tour de Feuer": Lying, Cheating and Stealing his way to become City Attorney?

As the cover to the best hit piece of the 2013 Campaign Season states ...... "Some men will LIE, CHEAT and STEAL to finish the race first" and ..........

Is that the alleged "Lauryn Hill of Political Consultants" John Shallman running interference against the law-abiding, other candidates for City Attorney?
Move over "Lapdog Weiss" for the "Lance Armstrong Feuer" of the 2013 City Attorney Campaign. The reaction to the Feuer/ Shallman Hit Piece can be measure via these comments from noted Trutanich Critic Joseph Mailander.

Most notably, it caught my wife's attention first, rather than mine--and she's undoubtedly a better judge of impact than I am.  Abundantly liberal but in her own trade far removed from politics, she's not really connected to any of these races, and when she read it said, "No way I'm voting for Mike Feuer," she said, and even seemed disappointed to learn that I still might. Mission accomplished! The yellow cover is perfect (view after the jump), and the inclusion of a headshot of John Shallman, Nuch's old campaign manager (see below right) who is now also running the Greuel for Mayor campaign, as one of the other top racers in this Tour de Sewer is a lovely touch.  Someone sure knows how to please his client! Now, the thing about the text is--ouch--it's not very much of an elaboration.  Of the CHEATS STEALS LIES trifecta, I'd say the one that answers to reality least is STEALS--but the other two are fairly fair game.

Of course, we must flashback to the 2009 classic Lapdog Weiss Piece when Shallman was not on the receiving end of the hit.
This piece still resonates four years later.
Your thoughts ..............

Hey, there I am! I hope David Berger isn't going apoplectic. It would appear that Feuer has this in the bag anyway.

i have to give you credit Scott, you are loyal to Nuch. But, and you knew the 'but' was coming, if anyone deserves to be called a liar, cheat and thief, it's Nuch.

Liar? Lookit, at the end of the day, it was Nuch who the LA Times called "Carmen 'I am a liar' Trutanich," and there's no getting away from the fact that he did lie to us about his promise not to use the City Attorney's office as a political springboard to the DA's office. Right?

Cheat? How about the sneaky way he tried to con us into believing that he had 724,354 YouTube hits on his DA campaign video? Or how about the way he tried to sneak a false and misleading ballot designation into the DA primary - "Los Angeles Chief Criminal Prosecutor" It took a Superior Court judge to stomp that down.

Stealing? Who has had a guy on the city dime as a contractor for the last 4 years at a $40k a year (that's $160k) who is a former Clinton campaign staffer and who has a job designation of 'Alternate Funding Sourcer' and and more recently 'Newsletter publisher,' who not only has not found a red cent of Alternate Funding, but has only written one newsletter? I'll give you a clue; it's not Mike Feuer. I'll give you another clue, it is the person who was named on Nuch's questionnaire as 'Campaign Manager' when he was trying to get the DA union to endorse him. $160k of tax payer money to support Nuch's failed political ambition; that's not stealing?

I respect your loyalty, even if I don't understand it. But at the end of the day, Nuch fits the description 'liar, cheat and thief' like a glove.
