 Flashback to 2001, a certain, post 1992 Riots, two-term Mayor, endorses a former Assembly Speaker then known as Antonio Villaraigosa, to succeed him. 

As former Mayor Dick Riordan's preferred choice to replace him nears the end of two-terms of failure in 2013, who stands by as the third-term incarnation of the former Dick Riordan/ Tony Villar Political Machine? A certain City Controller Wendy "The Villar Greuel".

Thus, why is it a surprise that Dick Riordan would support the third-term incarnation enabler of a machine that fronts the Crony Capitalist needs of Riordan's associates?
