Interesting, Carmen the Clown Trutanich's office holders account got a nice chunk of change from the law firm of Albright Yee & Schmit.
Surely a coincidence that, under City of LA contract # C-119634, they got $200k in City money from Carmen "To assist the City Attorney with the legal representation in the matter of the Marvin Brent v. Cit of Los Angeles and Carr v. City of Los Angeles and related cases - Term of Contract: August 1, 2011 through July 31, 2014 - Total Amount: $200,000"
Oh, and another $50k in contract #C-119633:
"To assist the City Attorney with the legal representation in the matter of the Sean Harrigan v. City of Los Angeles - Term of Contract: August 1, 2011 through July 31, 2014 - Total Amount: $50,000"
Oh, and another $400k in contract C-119635
"To assist the City Attorney with the legal representation in the matter of Brenda Lee v. Cit of Los Angeles - Term of Contract: July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2014 - Total Amount: $400,000"
Oh, and another $117k in contract # C-111576
"To assist the City Attorney with legal representation in the matter of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, et al (Nunez) vs. City of Los Angeles - term of contract from November 20, 2007 through November 19, 2009 - total amount $117,000"
I guess this must be all money that Trutanich claims he "saves" the City? Nice that the lawfirm kicks back a little to Trutanich. Nothing wrong with that, is there?
If you don't believe me, check the City of LA's contract search website, just enter the name of Albright Yee & Schmit and you'll get the same results.
