Trujillo Goeth Before the Fall
As reported here yesterday, former MayorSam blogger, Antonio Villaraigosa driver and political consigliere, Michael "MEAT" Trujillo sent out a prideful email over his apparent victory helming the victorious campaign of CD15 candidate, Joe Buscaino.
Meat, who has gotten into all kinds of trouble in the past with his email proclivities (here and here), is now telling LAObserved blogger, Kevin Roderick, that he did not write the email and that someone "is having fun with me." Trujilllo claims that his name was attached to an email crafted by some other individual.
Yet, as Roderick notes, Trujillo's Facebook page has a post, time stamped about the same time the email went out, featuring very similar sentiments.
And no wonder people are turned off to politics.
For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.

WELL IT'S NOT MY DISTRICT!! WILL SEE IF THIS MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE. THE COUNCIL STILL IS FINANCED BY UNIONS AND DEVELOPERS. THE AVERAGE PERSON WHO WOULD BE EFFECTIVE IF GIVEN THAT CHANCE DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE BECAUSE THIS CITY IS FULL OF CLOSED MINDED FOOLS. THE MEDIA AND PRINT ADS TELL PEOPLE HOW TO VOTE THEY DON'T HAVE THE BRAINS TO MAKE THE CHOICE THEMSELVES. LOOK AT THE STATE OF THIS CITY BROKEN SIDEWALKS, BUSTED WATERLINES, HOLES IN STREETS,CORRUPT DWP,CITY PLANNING,INEFECTIVE CITY SERVICES,QUESTIONABLE RUN JAILS,QUESTIONABLE USE OF FORCE BY LAPD,SCHOOLS THAT HAVE HIGH DROP OUT RATES,IT'S QUITE A LIST. WE ALL COULD BE DOING A LOT BETTER. SO MUCH IS A RESULT OF TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION FROM ALL CITY OFFICES TO REACH THE PUBLIC. WE HAVE TO STOP SUPPORTING THESE STATS FULL POLITIANS AND GET PEOPLE WHO WILL OPEN THE PROCESS WITH AND FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD. IT SHOULDN'T COST BILLIONS TO GET THINGS DONE JUST A PERSON WITH VISION TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
