There has been a stunning upset in the NY congressional district 26, a Republican stronghold where Democrat Kathy Hochul has defeated Republican Jane Corwin in a special election. Hochul ran on a platform that railed against the GOP plans to gut Medicare, and it certainly paid off big yesterday.
Even more backlash against the GOP, after House Majority leader Eric Cantor refuses to allow aid to tornado devastated Joplin, Missouri, unless it is tied to spending cuts in other programs. Unbelievable.
The LAFD is owed almost $248 million, mostly in unpaid ambulance fees, and DOT is owed $213 million in unpaid traffic tickets. Those figures, along with other debt owed to the City was enough for the City Council to create the position of "Collection Czar" on Tuesday.
The family of Dodger Stadium beating victim, Bryan Stow, have filed suit against Dodger's owner Frank McCourt over the horrific violence that has left Bryan in a medically induced coma. The suit alleges that Frank's mismanagement of the Dodgers led directly to the attack against Bryan;
"Despite being the home-opener against the rival Giants, no security was present in the parking lot or by the areas where taxis were waiting. Moreover, the parking lot had inadequate lighting. The lack of security and inadequate lighting presented a perfect opportunity to commit a variety of crimes."

You forgot to mention Obama's odd "senior moment" the other day, when he signed the guest book at Buckingham Palace, and wrote the date as "2008."
Methinks your boy is losing it, out of fear that Romney & Giuliani will be his 2012 opponent.
Funny how you left that out, since you're so inclined to write about such things when it's a Conservative who goofs.

It doesn't matter what you write about Dems versus Republicans, Liberals versus Conservatives.
The Dems and Liberals are gonna get a whoopin' come 2012.
It started with his campaign lies, and his assurance that the "employment rate would not go above 8%" if he got a trillion dollars to squander.
Now the story is that even TAX CHEATS got Stimulus money.
The Dems, the libs, and Barack Hussein Obama will have plenty of time for a big cluster f*ck and book tour.
They'll mostly be outta jobs.

Romney and Giuliani - that would be a grat team. A Mormon who believes that that Black race is beyond salvation (according to the book of Mormon) and a whore monging Catholic that his kids won't even talk to - they just can't get over those three marriages.
Romney will never pick Giuliani because just like his former driver and Bush appointed head of homeland defense, he can't pass the smell test. Something about former drivers that just doesn't work out, huh MEAT?
Cantor and the right-wing Republicans are running headlong into a fault in their philosophy -- it isn't grounded in really.
Now they've been able to piss off Missouri. A few more of these natural disasters in key states and Obama won't even have to campaign.
Until about 30 years ago, black Mormon kids weren't allowed to join the Mormon Boy Scouts. (However, I don't think there are many black Mormons). It's due to their belief that white people are descendants of Abel, and black people were created from that evil CAIN. Of course, the Mormon underwear and other odd beliefs are something Mitt will have to answer to.
