Outtakes from CD 14: LAFD cutbacks in CD 14 (Except near Councilman Huizar's home)

Strange, why would Councilman Huizar remove Facebook and Twitter links from council website home page?
These El Sereno Huizar supporters were rewarded with reduced LAFD emergency services.
Maybe this is the reason that CD 14 Councilman Jose Huizar has detach himself from constituents, via Twitter and Facebook? (or may it has to do with illegal campaign usage?)
The Voice Newspaper and other sources have provided documentation on the pending LAFD reorganization that has dire consequences for the El Sereno community and city wide via the LA Times. ** We should note that two of the four RA units recommended for shutdown are located in CD 14.
For the likes of the Hillside Village Property Owners Association who protests of Rescue Ambulance cutbacks at Station 16 brought attention to LAFD "brownouts", they should take note of the propose reorganization of LAFD resources in El Sereno and Boyle Heights.
Continue after the bloggin leap.
BATTALION 7: Close Battalion 7 (Batt. 1 is Downtown LA
FIRE STATION 001 (Located on Pasadena Ave. in Lincoln Heights): Close Engine, * add 600-Series Ready Reserve Ambulance, FS 1 reassigned to Batt 2.
FIRE STATION 002 (located on Cesar Chavez Ave. in Boyle Heights): Upgrade Light Force to Assessment, Close Batt 7, FS 2 reassigned to Batt 1 ** Station closest to Councilman Huizar's home.
FIRE STATION 016 (located on Valley and  Eastern in El Sereno): Close 800-Series Rescue Ambulance, * add 600-Series Ready Reserve Ambulance, FS 16 reassigned to Batt 2 ** This is station that is near the home of Luis Gonzalez who's emotional testimony on the death of his father, spotlighted the human cost of LAFD's brownouts..
FIRE STATION 025 (located on Whittier near Lorena in Boyle Heights): No Change, FS 25 reassigned to Batt 1.
FIRE STATION 047 (Located on Huntington Dr. near Monterey Pass Rd. in El Sereno): Close Light Force, add * 600-Series Ready Reserve Ambulance, FS 47 reassigned to Batt 2.
(* denotes non-staff RA units).

The rest of CD 14 (Highland Park and Eagle Rock) is the primary responsibility of Battalion 2.
BATTALION 2: Batt 2 reassigned to South Div.
FIRE STATION 012: No Change
FIRE STATION 042:  Close 800-Series Ambulance, add 600-Series Ready Reserve Ambulance
FIRE STATION 044:  Add Batt 2, Add EMS office
FIRE STATION 050:  Close Assessment Engine, Upgrade LF to Assessment, add 600-Series Ready Reserve Ambulance
FIRE STATION 055: ,Batt 2 moves to FS 44, SA position eliminated
FIRE STATION 056: No Change, FS 56 reassigned to Batt 5

Councilman Huizar picked a lousy time to shut down Facebook and Twitter, when they could be use to mobilize constituents to fight for their fair share of LAFD resources.

The elections is over, Jose has 4 more years and termed out of city council. Back to business as usual for the meanwhile.

(and, really, did you expect anything else from him? Remember that for most politicians, especially thin one, It's "self" before "all else")

Huizar has 4 more years, then another 4 - if he wants it.

What part of "three full terms" don't you understand? (His first, partial term was just completing quitter Villaraigosa's 4 years - which doesn't count under term limits).

He was just elected (in another landslide) for his second, ending in 2015. He can service until June 30, 2019 if elected to a third term.

And, why wouldn't he? Pays better that just about any other elected position in the state.

(P.S. He's not really that "thin").
