LA Times: Assemblyman Mike Gatto's residency under investigation by District Attorney

David Demerjian, who heads the district attorney's public integrity division, said he is checking into allegations that freshman Assemblyman Mike Gatto (D-Los Angeles) did not live in his district last year at the address where he was registered to vote. Gatto's 43rd Assembly District includes Glendale and the northeast Los Angeles area. Gatto called the allegations, filed by a local Republican Party official shortly before the Nov. 2 election, groundless and politically motivated.

This is an open and shut case.
Gatto registered to vote claiming to live at one residence, while giving another address on FEC donation forms. Then there's the neighbor who saw him and his wife living there.
But here's the fun part... Whitepages.com shows 5 people listed as living in his mom's house, not including Gatto's baby. While zillow says the house is a 2 bedroom 2 bath.
Let that sink in a bit.

I am sure that ass hole Steve Kaufman is drafting the CD letter for the DA's office right now.
I kind of like the hat and the goatee. Who cares if he doesn't look like the stereotypical elected official? If he has good ideas, and an ability to implement them, he could show up in a clown's outfit, for all I care.
Right now we have a bunch of clean-shaven elected officials who don't wear hats, and they behave like a bunch of clowns.

Dude, someone just told me this Mike Gatto character is a 30 some year old previously divorced attorney turned Assemblyman who lives with his now new wife and kid over at his Mom's place over which he is now being investigated by the DA's office and puckes all over Veterans gathered at a Veterans Day Observance ceremony? Is is real or is this a bad joke? Can anybody corroborate this story? It's just too wild to be true but its all over the place.
