Mid-Afternoon Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Scene for Wednesday
Nobody in life, needs to have this type of tragedy befall them.
Autry National Center and Southwest Museum Nemesis Jackie Autry was the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a homeless man in Palm Springs on Thanksgiving Day.
The accident killed 50-year-old Jesus Cardova Diaz of Palm Springs.
Diaz was struck by Autry's car just before 7 p.m. while crossing Sunrise Way just north of Ramon Road, Palm Springs police Sgt. Paul Abshire said Monday.
Diaz died about an hour later at Desert Regional Medical Center, according to the Riverside County coroner's report.
Autry was not cited and is not expected to face any charges, police said.

** The Jennerjahn Report provides the play by play of Councilman Jose Huizar's "conflicted behavior" on DWP issues. Better yet, maybe Huizzy was channeling Senator John Kerry's "I was for it before I voted against it" proclivities?

It is tragic that Jackie Autry hit an killed a pedestrian in Palm Springs.
But if it happened on Thanksgiving, how come it was not picked up in the media for almost a week? Was the Palm Springs Police Department withholding the accident report from public view?

Hmmm, no news reports on accidental homicide by Jackie Autry (wealthy community member and semi-celebrity), on a slow news day, in a community full of rich folks.
I suppose that COULD happen without there being any funny business behind it.
