Dan Avey, Veteran LA Newsman
Just heard on Doug McIntyre's show that Dan Avey passed today. Very sad news. Dan was an incredible broadcast talent in LA for decades. I had the chance to meet him at John Phillips' launch party last year and he was a very charming and nice guy. We send our condolences to his friends and family.

There will be a two-hour show on Marc Germain's live internet radio show at www.talkradioone.com at 8 pm tonight, Tuesday, August 17.
Dan was one of the regulars on his Marc's show, retiring a few months ago due to the then-undisclosed reason of his health.
You can hear some past podcasts and get a sample of how he was at that same web site, having a lot of varied things done well during his radio career.
