Same Sex Marriage on Hold Until Aug 18th!

Judge Vaughn Walker has extended the stay on same sex marriages until Aug 18th. The ruling is designed to give prop 8 proponents more time to appeal to 9th Circuit Court.
LA Times has more. Weho News looks on the bright side.

For once, Joe B(ully) isn't crowing about a PERCEIVED win.
Although I'm generally in agreement with the Prop. 8 supporters on what marriage is and should remain, their leaders are cruising for a bruising relying so heavily on "the people voted" vs. a "judge overturned it" argument.
People's votes are fickle, and can and probably will swing back on the next go-around, after a barrage of new pro-gay publicity about what "equality" means -- then where will their argument be?
They'll end up having to (hypocritically) petition more conservative judges to overturn
"the people" their way -- and the Birkenstocks will all be on the other feet.
So what if Peppermint Patty wears Birkenstocks? So what if Marcie always calls her sir? They are not lesbians. They are just cartoon characters.
