Rumor has it, TMZ snapped John Shallman shopping with a pair of pretty young things in Saint-Tropez while arranging for his next direct deposit from the IBEW via satellite phone. Can anyone confirm?

NUch has been burnig the candles at both ends and it caught up with him; he needs some serious bedrest.

Maybe he can get it over the holiday season while our Mayor is in Copenhagen with the Climategaters...

Karma's a bitch.

Besides, Nostrildamus is too busy pushing for Essel and pontificating with his "favorite councilmembers Parks and Rosendahl" about how he told us so on the fiscal situation going bad and how to fix it according to Deming, Sun Tzu and Tony Robbins. While he's suing us. Besides Nooch and Cooley's poison of choice is Scotch and lots of it.

As for Alarcon, Cooley should bust him just for having such a seedy- looking council office on top of a cheezy banner for a pot shop. I'm for medical MJ but think we should follow the model of other cities, and encourage comprehensive facilities with therapeutic treatments for real patients, and make them pay for a security guard. (The proposal that they empty their cash every night is nuts - and do what with it, take it home so they can get robbed? Banks all close too early.)

If you had to deal with the likes of Jan Perry and Janice Hahn everyday, you'd get abdominal pains too.

Looking at the photo of Nuch and Cooley they could both stand to lay off the polska kilbasas and Heinekins.

Can we see that picture again of the two of them getting dunked into a tub of water on the "first ever city attorney's barbecue" boondoggle day - AFTER eating a bunch of polska kilbasas and Heinekins?

Are they going to do an encore for Essel to shore up her sagging polls, to offset her "elitist" image with the fancy fundraisers in CD5?

If you let the medical pot people take shots at them in the dunking tub she'll make a fortune. Read their "sympathetic" comments on the LA Now blog.

OMG Speaking of Janice Hahn you won't believe this motion her and LaBonge are trying to pass. With all the major issues in our city this is what they spend their time on.
ITEM NO. (28)09-2871 MOTION (LABONGE - HAHN) relative to looking at alternative ways to administer the Dear Santa letters. Recommendations for Council action: 1. REQUEST the Los Angeles Postal District along with the City of Los Angeles look at an alternative to administer the Dear Santa letters to continue this almost century old tradition

Hardly anyone shows at LaBonge's Santa Parade - how much does it cost the city? What's his obsession with Santa Claus and football? He may have met his mental match in Phil JennerDoodle. A contest for the books, even better than the two gasbags Rosendahl (I'm just a gay guy) vs. Hahn (I'm just a dumb dyed blonde) for Lt. Gov. or Senator!

Let's see, is it harmful to your health being a one-man band against the "business as usual" brigade of Jan Perry who sold out to AEG for a fistful of hamburgers, Ed "El Commandante" Reyes who wants to turn the whole of LA into ELA, Paul Koretz who loves pot so much he cannot live less than 1,000 feet away from a pot shop, and Wendy "please pay Laura's bills" Greuel?
No, surely not. After all Nuch has the support of everyone who voted for a change in Los Angeles politics and then crapped their pants when he actually did what he promised to do.
That's too much for Los Angeles, we want Jan Perry to be our next Mayor, Ed Reyes to be Controller, and Paul Koretz to be the anti-drug Czar.
Get well soon Nuch. We need you.

And why is he commenting again?

Please don't let another cycle start with his foul, resentful spewing . He brings a really negative energy with his nastiness, that your blog is much better without.

OMG, remember that Weisshole that trolls here and slams Nuch for going to an unaccredited law school? Well that miserable reptile must be frothing at the mouth about now. The LA Times is reporting that a judge just issued a ruling showing Nuch is right about California law making the sales of medical marijuana illegal.
Even worse, the judge's ruling also supports DA Cooley's analysis of the law.
Worse than that, State Attorney General Jerry Brown's statement last week that "Sales are illegal" also seems to be right.
Seems like it's only a handful of LA City Council members, led by Paul Koretz and Ed Reyes, who are still sticking their heads into the sand about whether LA's pot shops are legal.
Thank you Judge Chalfont, thank you Nuch Trutanich, and thank you LA Times for getting the word out - Koretz is pot head and Ryes is plain stupid.

11:58, Since you Trutanich Trolls have no ethics this won't mean anything to you, but those of us who support the right to sell medical cannabis in shops as is done around the state (the for-profit or not issue is different from no money changing hands) are disgusted that he USED US to campaign for him by promising to uphold our views when he intented to go to war against us all along doing Cooley's bidding.

Just like with Laura Chick on the Controller issue. Etc. Usher lied to the Council last week when she said Jerry Brown agreed with Trutanich and Cooley, when in fact she just quoted from a rightwing kfi commenter's misstatement. All Brown said and what the courts say is that many sales are illegal and there are way too many shops. That Rocky's hardship exemption had bad unintended consequences.

And NO we did not support Weiss because we believed he'd be more in the vein of Rocky while IT WAS TRUTANICH WHO PROMISED TO BE MORE LENIENT TO GET OUR MONEY AND EFFORT TO GET ELECTED, GOT THAT? Clearly the illiterate writing this post doesn't, but don't let ignorance stop you, you never do.

Remember who DID protect the shops from getting busted by the feds, going back to 06? Dennis Zine joined Janice Hahn in insisting the feds law off shops in L A, after they busted one in his district. Even our leaders like Don Duncan who you people love to hate along with koretz and Reyes, will tell you that Zine always portrayed himself and Trutanich as friendlier to medical cannabis sales than Weiss! Weiss always said just where he stood too.

Judge Chalifant made this tentative ruling because the collective in questions makes NO attempt to even cultivate its own marijuana, and has allegedly been a nuisance that BOTH the loca N. C. AND City Council had already ordered closed in June.

Chalifant is the same judge who ALSO ruled Oct. 19th in FAVOR OF Green Oasis Dispensary, which opened under the Hardship Extention - he ruled that the moratorium AGAINST opening shops after the moratorium took effect was invalid.

Califant issued an injunction which PROHIBITED the Council from closing Green Oasis or other shops which the Council wanted closed.

Which came as a surprise because he's a conservative Republican, a man after Cooley-Trutanich's own heart. Sounds like he's making the city MORE Of a confusing mess.

Heavy drinking can do that to you.

Pot doesn't have the same side effects, he may need it after his liver treatments or kidney dialysis according to some reports. Why is he hiding his medical records, even where he is being treated as though he were some Shah of Iran? His ego and paranoia of transparency and the media when it's not doing PR for him combined with his hiding behind his deputies to do his dirty work for him in Council (after he barged in like a bull before he was even in office, when it was inappropriate) are BIZARRE.

The wimpy council must demand answers.

1:00PM comments like this are the best proof Los Angelenos need that Carmen Trutanich is rattling the cages of all the corrupt special interests who no see their special relationships as coming to an end now that Trutanich is shining a flashlight on the shady dealings going on in City Hall.
The current battleground is, of course, the 600 marijuana shops in Los Angeles. For four years the City Council has been incapable of passing a law to regulate them, mostly because their chief advocate, Don Duncan had seemingly unlimited access to elected officials in City Hall - he even had a pass to the official parking lot because he was there all the time - lobbying. Now it turns out that Duncan was not the volunteer do-gooder he claimed to be, but was running a side business as a paid consultant on opening marijuana shops.
No wonder people like you are trying to shift the focus away from the issue.
I wish Trutanich a speedy recovery and every strength to keep on doing what we elected him to do. So far, he's been 100% right on every issue;
* Billboards - now under control - the Delgadillo/Weiss deal thrown out as "poisonous"
* Laura Chick - no right to legal fees
* AEG - They are gonna pay for the Jackson fiasco
* Frivolous law suits - no more million dollar settlements
* Marijuana Shops - They're illegal
So keep up the good work Nuch, and remember, as long as you're pissing these slime bags off, you know you're doing the job we elected you to do.

Karma biting him on the ass. Prosecuting medical marijuana dispensaries is one of his pet peeves. Now if he would try some he would see the benefits of MMJ. How does it feel to be in pain??? Would you like some relief??? Yeah, ball's in the other court now...
