"
CD 2 staffer and
** friend of Jack Weiss, Patricia Davenport during her off time"
The "Special Interest Monetary Juggernaut", continues to dispense cash by the thousands, in the forlorn hope that this will buy, correction, educate voters in CD 2 about the virtues of Chris Essel.
With Wendy Greuel no longer on the council and two more women
facing term limits, soon there could be no women on the City Council.
Christine Essel will bring new ideas
and a needed perspective to the
“all-boys club” at City Hall.
In reality, Essel will represent the interest of that exclusive boys club that includes the likes of Richard Riordan, Mayor Villaraigosa, Ari Swiller, AEG's "Boss LIEweke", IBEW's "Boss D'Arcy", William Wardlaw, The West LA Times Editorial Board, David Geffen, Robert Smith of the Painters Union DC 36, assorted developers and the other lesser cast of characters (Phil, David, Frank and more).
On the subject of KRLA's Kevin James "endorsement" (** According to a recent post, James did not endorse Essel, That is why I put endorsement in quotations marks, pending verification.) of Chris Essel, in the latter part of his show last evening. While I can agree with James reservations about Paul Krekorian's "record of achievements" in Sacramento and normally being one who would support the supposed pro-business candidate in any election, I would normally dismiss a liberal candidate like Krekorian. That said, James should remember that it was Essel, who hid behind the "repugnant veil of racism", in attempting to dodge his radio show. This Essel did, knowing that she would be subjected to probing questions, that would exposed the "shallow depths" of her political platform in the CD 2 election. Why would James support someone (Essel) after being called an racist by the same person, is for him to enunciate further.
Here are the latest financial disclosures for Essel.

“For years, I’ve known Chris Essel to be an honest, hardworking businesswoman. I trust her to protect Valley neighborhoods from rampant overdevelopment,” Wachs said, “You can trust Christine Essel – she won’t be afraid to shake up City Hall. I'm happy to be supporting her in Tuesday’s important special election.”

Wendy's staffers know there is no job waiting for them if PK is elected. They have bills to pay like every one else.
I'm sure they will land on their feet when PK wins. The city is one large recycling bin. Once you're in the "in-crowd" you can be assured of a lifetime feeding at the public trough.

Kevin James IS a racist and a rightwing demagogue, regardless of whether or not Essel said so.
He still thinks Walter Moore is the Second Coming and every time Walter's on foster's his sense of entitlement, that he should have become Mayor because he deserves it.
They're irrelevant racists and nuts so James of course is "the spiritual home" of Nooch Pooch.

Wet Spot is getting even MORE delerious - doesn't know who he hates MORE, Essel or Krekorian, who has more friends he hates, trying to guess and getting it all wrong,
None of this is about standing on the issues, it's all about figuring out who shook hands with someone he tried (and failed) to make a career out of bashing - to hide the fact that he has never done anything positive.
WHAT DO YOU DO SPOT, THAT GIVES YOU ANY CREDIBILITY FOR JUST TRASHING PEOPLE ALL DAY, INCOHERENTLY?

What the Hell are they smoking??? There is plenty of female representation on City Council... You have Councilwoman Hahn, Councilwoman Perry, Councilwoman Zine, Councilwoman Rosendahl, Councilwoman Alarcon, Councilwoman Smith, Councilwoman Wesson and Councilwoman Reyes!
We need more MEN on the Council and that's why I'm proudly casting my vote for Christine Essel!

The total figures are far more revealing regarding the Independent Expenditures. It's obvious who wants to buy this election and keep in power. Rape kits for everyone if Essel gets elected!

Kevin James did not endorse either candidate.
He did what he often does in a campaign, he told his listeners which candidate he would vote for if he were filling out the ballot, and explained why.
I emailed him after reading this Mayorsam post and he responded to me (which he also does, while so many hosts do not even respond). Kevin said that he would explain again tonight why he said he would vote for Chris over Paul and that he would respond to the question posed by Red Spot as to why he would vote for Chris even though she made that stupid "racist" claim earlier in the campaign.
I live in cd3 and personally don't want to see another assemblyman on the city council.

Red Spot 12:03, you're a comedian! And post gratuitously nasty stuff based on sheer speculation, partisan intent to slime by unfounded innuendo and repeating lies and slurs from opponents as though they were fact - you should go work for the Slimes.
Or replace Orlov, who's gotten so lazy he's just phoning it in. His latest "coverage" of the debates like his articles for the past few years is just a rehash of campaign lit with a spin toward the rightwing candidate and gossipy Perz Hilton-ish bitchiness against the "other guy."
Perfect for you but you'd have to learn to SPOLL since they're fired all their copy editors.

I think that Kevin James, Phil Jennerjahn, Frank Sheftel, etc. have some kind of mommy complex with Chris. She is like your rich friend's mom that you wanted to bang when you're 14.

1:49, ugh what a thought about Chris but you may be onto something. Is she cashing in on a platonic version of (we have to assume) the "Cougar thing" with younger, ugly or dumpy, dumb, morally and ethically and financially bankrupt, desperate men who see her as their meal ticket?
Anonymous said:
1:49 yes Essel is a lot like Palin in that regard

Bla, Bla,Bla,Bla, some folks are going to need theraphy after Tuesday. While Pat is reporting to work 24/7 for the communities in CD2, those needing a come down from their hysterical political mind set will be lining up at Olive View for a good dose of 110 volts.
Take a setp back folks and remember it is only LA Politics. Win or lose, you could and will most likley lose.

Wendy`s staffers "will land on their feet" allright, they will go to DWP w higher salaries. D`Arcy and Wendy have arranged it already. Nothing new!

Did anyone see the photos of Chris Essel's "birthday party" at Frank Sheftel's "business?" About 12 people there and half of them were Sheftel's employees. The other half were Dopey Phil, Dopey Frank, Loser Cause David and the homeless smelly blogger. And Essel.

Joel Wachs the Sarah Palin of LA who quit in the middle of his term because he had a hissyfit he didn't get elected Mayor. He's the reason CD2 is in the mess it is right now!
By the way, how does a guy become a rich art collector on a city council salary?

Davenport still has Paul Krekorian on her Facebook page too - even though she's been duped/threatened by Wendy into supporting the wrong candidate this time. If you look at the things and people she supports, it's all the right ones - and people you don't like ARE often the "right people." Your people often suck and hold grudges til they die, and think local politics is a zero-sum game of being nasty and hateful, like you.
And your point is with the Facebook page, Wet Spot?

Le Bonge endorses Chris Essel.
Can anything have been MORE stupid than him and Hahn insisting today that L A take over the business of answering national mail addressed to "Dear Santa," because some volunteers at the previous locale sent "inappropriate" letters to some kids? LeBong had some officials in for the usual grilling, didn't stick around to find out what came of it. His Santa Parade no one goes to except mostly Latino immigrant families is already costing a bundle. Its D- list celebrities are a joke.
How MANY bongs did his head take during high school football?
His other big ambition with Parks to try to create a legacy for his name is to lure the World Cup of soccer to the U. S. - maybe as late as 2023. And when this city had to attack LAPD for its stellar handling of the Jackson Memorial, to prevent a single problem or lawsuit and Trutanich/Zine are still shaking down AEG and threatening to arrest and sue them and everyone in sight if they don't pay up even though it wasn't in their contract.
How are these two clowns who have stood by and watched that happen with their quiet support, going to handle ANY big event? Are they sure the World Cup will pay what this city demands, when other cities are offering incentives not penalties and defamations?
They can't think two steps ahead.

Dopey Joel Wachs said "she won’t be afraid to shake up City Hall"
What kind of DWP-sewer-clogged-with-horse-shit kind of claim is that??? Right. She's endorsed by twelve Clowncilmembers, the dimwit Controller and the sleazy Mayor and IBEW is going broke getting her elected. BUT ESSEL IS SURE GONNA SHAKE THINGS UP!

The painters are doing a big Latino push for Essel this weekend.
It will be run out of their Pasadena office, and they have hired ACORN canvassers.
They are having them start late so the ACORN issue cant be used against Chris.
