Happy Thanksgiving Dum Dums!! With Affection
As many of us mix eating with hours of football, whether on T.V. or at your local park, lets remember to give thanks to those in our Armed Forces, who protect our rights to freely engage in political banter here at Mayor Sam.But more important, this is time to reflect on the role of our respective family members, who are part of what we are on this special day.
Best wishes to all and may you and your families share a "day of thanks" in peace and happiness.

Happy Thankgiving to you all. I am thankful for my family, my friends and all persons in my life. My prayer is that we will all be thankful for our future and , hopefully, for the best years of our lives yet to come. Have a great day!
During this Thanksgiving and Holiday season, let us take all of the emotions we are feeling and channel them to positive action. Fill the world with good deeds so that fear, terror and darkness are overcome by tranquility, fellowship and endless points of light.
We're thankful that Los Angelenos have lost the fire in their bellies and prefer business as usual to the "bullying" and "grandstanding" of an independent outsider. Nice to see MS getting with the program too and banning people with views that are too controversial.

I'm thankful that idiotic wind bag Phil Jennerjahn is gone. He was rude,
paranoid (anyone that didn't agree with him was a Socialist), and he was an embarrassment to this blog.
Plus he bottlecapped any story he didn't like.
I also miss Phil. I stopped reading his silliness a while back. I read the comments though. they were even funnier than he was. He claims to be an entertainer, right? I thought that was the whole point.
Bottom line on Phil Jennerjahn:
Phil was immature and a fucking idiot.
If you disagree with that, you are a freedom-hating socialist.
If Phil were here, he would most definitely bottlecap this comment, and then claim to not know what bottlecapping is.

To take this a step further...
"Jennerjahn" has now entered the lexicon.
For example: If you meet someone who is extremely paranoid and classifies anyone that disagrees with them as a "socialist", then you could tell your friends, "Oh boy, I met a real Jennerjahn today".
Another example: Let's say you meet a guy with political ambitions
but it is obvious he doesn't have a chance in politics. You can tell your friends, "It was a Jennerjahn moment, the guy is way out of his league".
Finally, let's say you run into someone that can't shut up talking about their candidate, even though it is obvious their candidate is not well liked. You can say,
"This loony tune tried to Jennerjahn me! I couldn't wait to get away".
I am thankful that as we try to straighten out this marijuana mess that the man with the ultimate decision has a history of dealing the medicine himself. Of course that is when it was illegal and that is what got him kicked out of high school - not that race riot bullshit that Skelton spins.
Ask anyone who went to school with him - Antonio was a drug dealer.

With all the problems and issues in Los Angeles, these bastards have nothing better to do then pass bullshit motions like this. This will bring more illegals to Los Angeles. ICE needs to do more employer raids here especially downtown.

Farewell Phil, if you want to know what countries have the lowest mortality rate for infants and the longest life expectancy, don't look at the U.S. My goodness, these high measures of successful health care systems are found in (gasp) countries with single payer and NON-PROFIT health care systems. But for Phil and the dumbass teabaggers, that would be socialism. We need to shout these morons down and get on with moving the U.S. to a non-profit, single payer system. Otherwise, our profit oriented system will continue to condemn people to death through the denial of service. It's positively immoral. Let us give thanks for the health care bills in Congress -- they are a step in the right direction.
11:35, Phil may be an idiot but he has nothing to do with US mortality rates nor does single-payer! We have more obese minorities than any other country - LA's blacks and Latinos are fat, largely uneducated, sit around on their far arses and eat greasy burritos. Jan banning Hamburgers is on the right track SORT of, but she should be going after the root cause the behavior. You can live in S L A or E L A and CHOOSE to buy and cook healthy food - only lazy idiots go to McD's and blow a bundle buying greasy food with fries for their brood when they could spent that amount of money and cook a complete balanced meal. Even if they have to drive or bus a few miles to a Ralph's.
If we have single-payer, whatever Obama says we'll still have to pay for the huge number of illegals, with their hordes of kids they can't afford. Paying for their free school lunches and breakfasts is just a start, we'll still have to give them ER care, can't turn them away even if they don't buy insurance. Only citizens will be fined and traced through IRS - if they're illegal in the first place or using fake or stolen SS#, they'll continue to do what they do now. Our rates will still soar, our waiting lines get longer. No other country has this problem.
Bad and unfair our current insurance system is to anyone who doesn't get it through a big company it will get worse unless we find a way to bill Mexico for caring for their citizens, but of course we won't. If AlarCON has his way, we'll take in the entire "Latinismo" hemisphere for free as our obligation. Since we can't and won't control our borders, there's no way single payer wouldn't sink even our best hospitals with 2/3 of L A being obese and 1/3 illegals.
