Jennerjahn Story on Krekorian Full of Holes
I figured that there might be documentation online at the City Clerk's website as to when candidates receive and return paperwork. There is.
According to City Clerk records, the official declaration of Krekorian filed of his intent to run was on July 6th, a Monday. However - in direct contravention of Jennerjahn's claims - Krekorian did not receive his nominating petitions until the following Friday, July 10th. Considering that, the claim that Krekorian received special treatment and got his petitions the same day he filed is absolutely false.
If that isn't enough to impeach Jennerjahn's source and impeach their credibility another claim he makes falls apart by looking at the record. Phil says Krekorian made an unreasonable demand to have a ballot designation that does not exist, that of "San Fernando Valley Assemblymember." But take a look again at the Declaration of Intention. Krekorian is indeed listed by that designation. If the designation was not acceptable or valid, the City Clerk would not accept it.
In his story Phil states that Krekorian let out a spew of profanity during the entire alleged incident. His unnamed individuals are the only source of this information yet they have yet to come forward. No other witnesses have confirmed hearing or seeing Krekorian's obscenity laced tirade, the campaign has denied this and our readers who know Krekorian say this is not his style.
Where this leaves us until Phil presents verifiable proof and explains the documented inconsistencies in his story then we will continue to maintain the story has no basis in truth.

A WEEK AGO, I TOLD YOU NUMEROUS TIMES THAT HE NEEDED TO CORRECT HIS SLANDEROUS COMMENTS ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL COLLEAGUE BECAUSE NOT ONLY OF FAIRNESS TO THE MAN, BUT BECAUSE OF THE ALREADY TEETERING CREDIBLITY OF THIS BLOG.
Like a gift from the heavens, Phil virtually fabricated the circumstances of the Kirkorian story, and it FINALLY hit home for you Mayor Sam!
We all know Phil is an idiot. But the blame for this lays squarely at YOUR feet for giving this feeb a chance to contribute in the first place, and for continually allowing him to run roughshod over the truth. You are now finding out what it's like to have to deal with his lies personally. You deserve each other. It's hilarious to see you floundering with this now.
Phil had his fact a little off, but the bones of the story are true. Paul was late in getting his paperwork that's true. And that's because he failed to file his ethics form first. It states in the candidates handbook that the order is clear. That's why your smoking gun verifys Phils story that Krekorian asked for special favors but were denied.
His ballot designation was SFV assemblymember. And once again Higby you missed the Phils point. Yes he got the designation, but not before calls were made behind the scenes to make sure it was ok (turned out it was, but again it's deceptive on Pauls part cause he's a STATE assemblyman) but the State assembly has the lowest approval rating ever so I can see why he'd want to distance himself from that.
And yes HE DID blow up and drop the F word a few times because he was frustrated he couldn't get his petitions that day. (proved again by Higbys link to the clerks filing dates).
So Higby the story is pretty much on Fact from Phils side.
I understand the "witness's" will step forward to back up Phil. They didn't want to get anyone in the clerks office in trouble, but looks like Higby doesn't care if someone looses there job over this overblown event.
Looks like Higbys blind when it comes to his favorite candidate. Oh by the way higby lives in CD4. So has no stake in the outcome of this choice. Looks like it's Higbys story that's full of holes.
This type of spin for the Krekorian campaign is difficult to watch.
They certainly are ready to crucify me for a story that , unfortunately for them , happens to be true.
This next part is going to be unpleasant for them.
Higby are you going to let Phil continue to embarrass himself? Have some compassion man!
Phil and Shallman's story continues to fall apart. Good work Michael. Their lies that Krekorian was late filing is proved by your docs. He was the first to turn in and get qualified.
On the other hand Essel's boy wonder Sheftel actually got his petitions turned down and had to go file a supplemental petition under the wire.
But I predict Phil and Essel lie about that!

Michael Higby did not say Paul was late. Read the damn post. He said that PHIL LIED WHEN HE SAID KREKORIAN DEMANDED HE GET HIS PAPERWORK AND GOT IT THAT DAY. The record proves that.

Why would Essel care so much about befriending and de-thorning someone like Sheftel?
Because the medical pot issue is one of the biggest things blowing up in the face of Shallman's other client, the Nooch - look how his bootlicker Berger used fear of some pot patients as their excuse to sneak off in the armored car for "security" reasons. Having used the pot community to campaign for him and give him a lot of their money, he's made big enemies of them for throwing them under the bus and just hides from them in person - like someone else said he bullies and threatens people when he's by himself.
(Meaning with the security detail on OUR dollar and with that lying, vindictive racist Berger we're paying for now on the city payroll, instead of letting him suck money out of the County DA's office like he did for years under Cooley - who gave him pay for no work, for months, so he could lie about and slime Weiss for Nooch.)
But he sends Carter in to mop up - lucky he hasn't prevailed in hiding all his "advice" in closed session! We can see their agenda and how they're trying to manipulate the Council to do THEIR will and follow a political agenda geared toward making that bully- thug Nooch DA or even Mayor.
Nooch/ Carter did get away with making the stupid council deny Wendy Greuel right to outside counsel against the vindictive bully or his underlings, which the presiding Judge who's trying to be impartial about the issue pointed out hurt Greuel and was a very poor choice by the Council.
But NOW that he's threatened Perry with jail, he's finally gone SO over the line those cowards finally slapped him back down. Those like Solomon who think it's just as well Nooch got elected despite being a lying fraud, so that his behavior can highlight the deep dysfunctions of Council, and the degree to which they put self-preservation about all else, may sadly have a point.
It's also just as well how the pro-Nooch SLAP people are revealing themselves to be the mean-spirited, spiteful bunch of old misanthropes they were for years when they fought Jack Weiss, but the councilmembers mostly threw Jack over to them, hoping to get rid of any criticism aimed at themselves. When in fact Jack was just a lightning rod for THEIR policies like Measure B and the development stuff. And took the heat that would have been aimed at them, which it's starting to be.
They still didn't wake up when Woocher, Chick's lawyer, warned them that THEY could next be in Greuel's position. NOW Perry is, along with too many people to count, who have been bullied and extorted by a goon who's not even empowered to make policy, let alone retroactively against AEG's contracts and understandings.
Ironically, it's the pot people who are the most tenacious and will take him down, which is why they were anxious to make an example of Craig Rubin and why Shallman got Essel to "charm" and possibly make future promises to (like Nooch did for Berger, pay to play), to get a former opponent with visiblity working for her instead of against her. So an irrelevant potshop owner becomes a potential political benefiary and part of Shallman's dirty machine.
I have no dog or horse or whatever in this race, whatever those two are now, but it's highly laughable that SHALLMAN of all people is slamming Paul for a misleading ballot designation. When he had his Thug Nooch claim he was an "environmental attorney" on the ballot to fool people, while in fact he represented criminals who broke environmental laws! That should never have been allowed. That's just the start of a campaign of lies and smears. Now Shallman's trying to claim some sort of high ground on this?
I say this even though I think it's low for Hacopian and Paul to try to claim the "victim" badge because Chris went to an event for Turkish-Americans, suggesting that the whole country is genocidal.
What we CAN see is that since Shallman slimed his way onto the scene, every election at least if he's involved, is running in the sewer now, and relying on buying scribes worried about their next paycheck, combined with the lack of investigative reporting, that Shallman/John Thomas milked.

Chris went to a fundraiser for HERSELF in the home of a Genocide Denier.
This was not a a Turkish event, which no one would have a problem with. Given that not all Turks are Genocide deniers.

Phil, I think ambition is a wonderful thing. I think you have a lot of it. But perhaps you might want to reconsider writing about politics as your "calling." Politics is not Hollywood where you can just make stuff up. The ambition you have is “somehow” misguided and does not work for your candidate (Essel) and it wastes the time of the Kerkorian campaign, having to answer for something, which seems to be highly trivial at this point.
I recommend a class on investigative reporting and research writing before you go any further and end up in court being sued for libel. You can't just say anything you want if it's not true or if you can’t back it up.
I for one think Kerkorian is a statesman and a gentleman as much as Essel conducts herself as a professional woman and certainly a viable contender (minus the Armenian holocaust fiasco she created and the fact that she has no legislative experience, which makes a good public policy maker). I can’t imagine Kerkorian losing his head over something as minute as what you are describing.
Unlike Hollywood, in politics the facts WILL get in your way.

I may have made an error reporting this story...my sources were telling me about Krekorians tantrum and how he tried to bully browbeat the City Clerks into giving him his nomination papers.
I misunderstood them and thought they said he DID browbeat and bully them into giving him his papers. My error and it takes the story a bit off track. I'm sorry about that mistake. I've learned my lesson and in the future I'll try not to report on stories from months ago where I wasn't present at the event.
But the main part of the story and what I was trying to focus on.....about Krekorian being a self-centered , arrogant egomaniac....yeah...that part is true.
He did lose his temper and he did use profanity....several people heard it.
THAT was the part I was trying to focus attention on.
