Excitement Builds as the Nuch Era Begins
David Berger reports that the transition team for City Attorney Elect Carment Trutanich met at City Hall Monday evening followed by a repast at a local Mexican restaurant.
The best news in my view to come out of the meeting is that Berger himself will head up the Public Integrity and Ethics Task Force for Trutanich. This signals that Trutanich - unlike some past and present City/District Attorneys who talked about going after corrupt politicians - may actually mean what he has said. Placing a pitbull like Berger - who is more than aware of local shadiness - on the task means that Nuch is serious about about ferreting out fraud, waste and abuse. I would suggest they hire Zuma Dogg as a Senior Inspector General to round out the team.

Garcetti walked away with the first amendment today when he did not let me speak during public comment. he can claim I was profane and slanderous for using the word, "losers." That ethics violating mama's boy is not dictaor of Los Angeles and in my opinion he has opened up the city to a lawsuit, where now all processes will be evaluated.

That is wishful thinking. Nuch is not going to keep any of Delgadillo's hacks in a position of power. He may not be able to fire them. But he can and will send them to "siberia".
I'm happy for David Berger if he has a new position with Nuch's new administration. Berger seemed to be a pretty good guy out there on the campaign trail. I think people held the fact that he is English against him. But he was a good candidate.
I loved his holding up a photo of "no show" Jack Weiss at campaign events... clever, and so hilarious... (I should have done the same thing for Antonio, but I didn't want to steal David's routine).
I hope the subpoenas fly and Nuch and David actually end up throwing some city politicos in jail.

I like what I've read so far about Berger. Maybe he can help Nuch keep focused on what the city attorney's office really stands for - integrity, honesty, pursuit of the truth. There is none of that at the Mayor's office. He and his appointees have abused their power and continue to cheat the city out of millions. Just check out who's going to be in the front row tomorrow watching the Lakers at Staples Center. Someone should take pictures and post them. I will be at work earning my salary at city hall. What another waste.
We need to get rid of these wasteful, ego driven politicos and bring back good ethics. So far I'm liking what I hear and as a city employee I'm looking forward to The Nuch bringing it on. The fact that you have Jane Usher as your Exec. Assistant shows you are interested in the truth. The majority of the folks on Nuch's team know what's going on in city hall and I do look forward to some resignations as a result of upcoming investigations. Employees are fed up with all the coruption and favors being displayed in city hall. Don't let us down Nuch. Create a hotline so we can report waste and abuse. We're tired and we need an outlet.
The problem for Nuch is that there are no open positons which will enable him to bring in his own management team and pay them.
That is, unless he decides tha Rocktard broke the law in tenuring these people because they didn't take the civil serice exam and go through the normal channels.
If he checks that out,, he can fire them all and let them sue...good luck folks.
Then he can bring in his own management team.

[Yes, those are some impressive achievements. When I saw Mr. Gil Garcetti at City Hall a while ago, I said, "Mr. Garcetti, you must be so proud of Eric. You must have done something right. They cannot become civil servants by proclamation or fiat. There is a process, and Rocktard didn't follow it, so they are going to get their asses fired and while they wait, they will be trying drunk driving cases or stationed in Siberia.
