Gil Cedillo isn't too happy that Mayor Villaraigosa threw him under the bus and is endorsing Judy Chu for the Congressional seat vacated by Hilda Solis who went on to become President Obama's Labor Secretary. Cedillo issued a press release implying the Mayor is part of the "entrenched political interests" that Chu is "cozying" up to.
As part of his mad, Cedillo is trying to stir up bad feelings over the shady Measure R, playing his San Gabriel Valley base against the fashionable Westside of LA and the Westside folks aren't too happy about it.
It's fun to see these clowns go up against one another. Of course you don't need to go down that road; there is a far more thoughtful, professional and mature alternative in Teresa Hernandez.

Someone who just got nailed for blowing $120,000 on luxury travel and dining is blasting frugal Chu for cozying up to big money? Maybe she'll at least generate jobs in her district while all Cedillo did was blow his salary and funds elsewhere.
Anyway Cedillo attended a Trutanich dinner in San Pedro and seemed awfully pleased with himself and now he's whining? Hope the buffet was really good.
But blasting Antonio like this and burning bridges may not prove too smart.
Comments on that article you link to think Cedillo's acting desperate to get so personal and nasty about Chu and Antonio, maybe so. And after out-Nunez'ing Nunez while claiming to speak for the poor illegals who can't get licenses, how do you spell H-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e.
As for touting his joining Glorias Molina and her sidekick (and Antonovich and Knabe) in trying to squash the westside subway extension in favor of a rail line to the San Gabriel Valley, he's showing how bitter and ignorant he is. Even rightwing screamers like McIntyre keep saying that love it or hate it, Metro L A is the engine that drives the whole economy of SoCal -- and has both the glitz and problems like commuter traffic INCLUDING a lot from San Gabriel Valley in return.
Those provincials who drive in to clog and smog up our roads daily for work and play but then act like spoiled children who don't want to pay their share are a big part of why we have these problems.
One Bill Gil should have considered the consequences when he endorsed Jimmy Hahn against his "long time friend" Antonio Villaraigosa.

Zuma Dogg Food Drive For Zuma Dogg
It is 6pm on Wednesday April 22, 2009 and if you are in the Woodland Hills/Calabasas/Malibu/Sherman Oaks or any nearby area and can deliver some food to Zuma Dogg (like a tuna sandwich, pizza, sushi, veggie burritos, anything without meat or chicken) PLEASE CALL 213-785-7272. I am stuck in this area and things have been going downhill for me so quickly, I can't handle the G-force. And right now, I am so hungry I have physical pains and am about to dry heave from nervous nausueaness. I have asked for PayPal donations before, but some people don't like to do that, so if you have food, please call me. I am serious. I want to eat today. It's been way too hot these past three days and I have not been eating anything. It is what it is, baby. I FUCKED up my life and can't help myself out of it. But the blogging has been great today.

So, Gil's colors are out. And Judy Chu......I'm sorry "DOCTOR" Chu as she demands to be called (PhD. in physiology) who has been bought by the unions does not represent the constituency of the 32nd.
Teresa Hernandez is a real contender. We all need to pay attention to what she stands for, but manly what she can accomplish in Congress. For starters, with Teresa the 32nd will not Career Politicians that are robots to the party.

Antonio is getting edgy on the budget snafu, especially with his slam on "deadwood" in the group nearing retirement;
Cedillo is getting uneasy since he will have to go get a job when there are none as he and the other politicians in the majority have done a good job to chase out businesses.
They just don't know who to pick on next to deflect the heat off themselves.

Cedillo writes today in Calitics about why he thinks he's best for the job. His main claim is the drivers licenses for illegals, "immigration reform" (legalization without penalties) and expanding healthcare to all -- just what we need when the state has to cut back on services to citizen elderly.
For whatever reason Antonio is breaking with this guy, it's a good thing. We literally can't afford Cedillo, and that on top of his lavish spending like many of the "advocates of the poor." Chu is known to be fiscally prudent. Plus he wants to screw metro L A/ Hollywood and the Westside and San Fernando Valley in favor of San Gabriel Valley, so right back atya Gil.
Her only drawback is that she's not Latina but I hope Latinos are finally waking up to the fact that it should be the best person for the job not the color of their skin, like they've been preaching to the 'anglos" about them.
So, if Gil is so anti-Antonio, why is Gil the one taking a $2400 contribution from Horacio Vignali last month?
I'm surprised Mr. Cedillo is attempting to use Measure R for political gain.
Considering that it passed overwhelming at a terrible economic time like this, over Mr. Cedillo's objections, highlights his political weakness, not strength.
I saw the Parks and Rec. Hilarious show to anyone who has attended these NC or Planning Meetings. I didn't see the guy based on a gadfly though.
Had a great time at the budget town hall meeting with the mayor. GREAT video footage I will try to post soon. The budget plan ain't gonna work, although the mayor did a very good job in his presentation and pitch.

Zooma, your life is fucked up and you have no one to blame but yourself.
You cannot create a "job" of being a "public advocate". The folks who do this for homeowners associations or other non-profits are otherwise independently wealthy or married to someone with a real job who can support the habit.
But you have no one to support your habit because it is unnecessary and unwanted. You have been led on by Higby to think you have worth in this endeavor but no one really believes it, including Higby. You generate hits for him so he uses you.
Go back home and regain some pride. Get a job and stop this incessant gadfly act.
