Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Monday
Former Assemblyman Lloyd Levine is looking for a job. At least that's what an email he sent out to several supporters stated. In the email Levine writes "I recognize that this might be the worst time to find employment since the Great Depression (editor's note: clearly not true), which is why I am reaching out to you, hoping to learn about the best possible opportunities as they arise." According to one rumor that lit up the State Capitol gossip wires on Friday, Levine has found employment at a Sacramento store that sells runners' shoes. If you have a more rewarding opportunity for Lloyd you can send it him at levine4assembly@hotmail.com.
Isn't "Two Bill" Gil Cedillo's time up? God forbid this shady race baiter gets elected to Congress when there is a dynamic, thoughtful Mexican-American mom and self-made business sucess story in the person of Teresa Hernandez running for the 32nd Congressional seat vacated by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. Lets hope the voters get it this time.
Bernie Parks gets Jasmyne Cannick's "Negro Please" Award for wanting to keep the Parker Center name for LAPD's new headquarters; in honor of former LAPD Chief William Parker. Wonder what Mike Trujillo thinks the name should be?
Though it may seem like the usual feel good holiday photo op, there is nothing more truly Christian than volunteers washing the feet of the homeless over Easter Weekend in Skid Row. But, as blogger Don Garza correctly notes, it also serves a purpose: health workers can inspect the homeless individuals' feet for signs of illness and serious medical conditions and provide them treatment.
With declining enrollment in Los Angeles' schools should the LAUSD be spending billions on a full bore ahead program of building new schools? KCET (hat tip to CurbedLA) is asking that question in a new report, "Blackboard Bungle."

I bet egomaniac Bratton wants his name on the building. Parks should have been creative, and come up with a list of relevant names for the building (how many people know who Parker is?)...I guess Parks doesn't know how to be creative. Bratton doesn't deserve it...an overpaid police chief that spent so much time out of town, and now spends much of his time schmoozing and playing with politicians and endorsements...like that oh so inappropriate endorsement of Jerk Weiss...he deserves serious bad karma on that one, not his name on a new building....a man who sells out his integrity and morality to his ambitions should not have his name on a new LAPD building.

Mayor Sam, why do you refer to Phil Gendergone as a former candidate for Mayor?
Since the election is long over now, you should refer to him as last place mayoral candidate phil jobgone.
The man was thousands of votes behind next to last "candidate" Zumatard.
Really, giving these guys a platform is like teasing the retarded by fooling them into believing that someone really values their opinion other than mommy and daddy.
Shame on you for profiting from their stupidity and inability to move on with their lives. Look at Zumatard! He tried to break away and could not do it for a single day. At least he got a handful of votes.
That Gordon guy from the city attorney's office beat both of them handily and no one outside of his office ever HEARD of the guy. Phil and Zutard could combine their votes and not beat that fourth place finish.
Shame on you!
Shame on you!
You are a liar. A liar to the people.

Parker Center should be renamed:
80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES CENTER
in honor of the mayor who added THOUSANDS OF NEW FAKE COPS to the streets of L.A.
Make it "Faker Center" for short.
(Is it true AV's now counting the actors on NBC's "Southland" soap Cop-era as part of meeting his goal for new officers?)

Speaking of "Southland" have we really got such a huge shortage of cops that one one shift the same two many patrol car is cruising Hollywood, San Pedro, Glassell Park and at least two other far flung communities.
What division are they working. . .

I think some people should start paying attention to the water situation and what is about to happen. Someday, the (local?) talk radio show clowns might even decide it's an issue worth discussing. IT'S GONNA BE A BIGGIES FOLKS!

If Phil Jennerjane takes, as he's saying, a scorched earth policy against his former campaign challengers, it will come back to bite him big time if he ever tries to run for another office.
His campaign promise to not tear down others looks like it was just another Phil Jennerjahn lie.
So be forewarned Phil. You will start accumulating enemies at an ever faster rate if you try to move yourself forward by pushing others, not just Walter, back.
It is amusing how Higby even thinks Phil is relevant, but so be it. Let's see how big Phil's balls are now that whatever he writes will be collected, and stored for the next time he decides to run for something.

How can the guy who just won a new four year term have the last word written about him?
Hello? The last word on villaraigosa won't even be considered for YEARS, let alone NOW.

Instead of the foolish stories about Lloyd Levine and Phil Jennerjahn, can you PLEASE start posting something of value?
How about Georges Marciano, a co-founder of the Guess clothing empire, is the latest person seeking to become governor of California.
Higby, do you think you can revamp your blog to RELEVANCY?
Honestly, all this crap about Lloyd, Phil, Walter and Zuma is not only tedious, it's taking time and attention away from important issues.
The Home Depot story is long since over, but we're still getting tidbits about that, even when they're untrue and boring.

6:31 = bad, bad case of jealousy and sour grapes over Bratton's fame and his doing and saying what he believes which doesn't happen to be endorsing the rightwing kooks that the run-on-sentence-writer supports.
So it's not going to be Bernie jr., more like a Walter Moore-Berger- Trutanich supporter. Trutanich = Berger more disguised as mainstream.

11:22 is an out of work Walter Moore supporter.
Higby already had Marciano on the blog weeks ago.
Where were you?
Sniffing Walter?

6:31am Definitely a Bitter Bernie flacky. bitter Bernie will take the opposing side regardless against Bratton. He's still reeling from the humilation of not being appointed to a second term by a lot of the council morons he sits with in chambers. Boy, that has to hurt his big EGO. MOVE ON BERNIE. He must cringe knowing newspapers here in LA and all over the nation put Bratton's poll numbers way up compared to even the little Mayor.

11:14 AM: "How can the guy who just won a new four year term have the last word written about him?"
Cause it's going to be the last this town is going to see of this guy, unless he returns to make a campaign appearance when he runs for his next office or do a Hollywood fundraiser. Tony V is now termed out. Four more years as Mayor of L.A. at most. It's either (A) run for Governor in 2010, (B) run for U.S. Senator in 2010 or 2012 if either job opens up, (C) get a job with the Obama Administration or (D) find a job in the "private sector" after his second term as mayor ends.
For the next four years, all Tony V is going to be doing will be looking for his next gig. He's gone folks.

It's easy to reduce crime when they give you all of the City's money and resources, while they're cutting the other departments to the bone.

Shut the hell up...your midget mayor hasn't laid off not one of his idiot 16 Deputy Mayors or 93 staffers. The city workforce has grown 12% under Antonio and police dept only 3% you moron. Ask the midget mayor what he would have campaigned on besides using LAPD that all credit goes to Hahn!!!

Zine did what he always does, with the police siren issue. He made a huge show of siding with Bernie to challenge Bratton's judgment, then in public safety committee decided to vote to let Bratton do what he sees best and left Bernie hanging.
Bernie was wrong because when people call the cops for an emergency, they don't want to know they didn't make it on time because only one car per call is allowed to run sirens while the rest sit at stop lights and go the speed limit.
But why did Zine just realize all of a sudden he'd been on the wrong side? Just had to make his noise and play it both ways
