Jack Weiss Tries to do Britney Spears
Controversial City Council Member Jack Weiss is more concerned with getting elected City Attorney than he is in actually debating the issues.
Indeed, it appears the Clowncilman who had to be called out by Zuma Dogg for not being in Chambers often during Council meetings is taking a page from the John McCain playbook.
The latest missive out of the West LA based lawyer Weiss' camp is to take a potshot at opponent and Deputy City Attorney Michael Amerian for his unsuccessful prosecution of Britney Spears in a hit and run case.
Gosh Jack I don't think LA's problems inlude a pop diva's bad behaivor or even a grandstanding prosecutor trying to make an example. No Jack lets talk about the shady developers and special interests who buy politicians and Council Members like you who don't listen to their constituents. Then tell us why you should be City Attorney.

Way to go, Jackass; now, when you are forced into a runoff aginst Nuch Trutanich, you can be sure that Michael will endorse him and not you...
Goombye, Goomba.

Higby just needed another lame excuse to run a picture of Britneedy.
Damn, you have such a hard-on for that trailer trash cesspool of inbred complications.
Give it up, dude. Five years from now she'll be lying on a slab in the morgue from an OD with her "hits" playing on the muzak system and you'll still be a virgin.
Sheesh!

Nuch all the way!

Weiss is in deep doo doo because with so many challengers including a strong one in Nuch there will definitely be a runoff. Confused people voting for Noel Weiss will hurt Jack even more.
With Nuch in a runoff against Jack no doubt Noel, Michael and even Wacko Walter's puppet will support Nuch or at least sit out. Everyone hates Jack so much they will focus on Nuch and Nuch wins.

Doubt that. Weiss fucked up.

Think of all the people who hate Jack.
The Blacks over Jamiel's Law.
Latinos over Esteban getting special treatment.
Old Jews over development.
Hippies over billboards.
Jack you lose.

Isn't it said that the only time our leaders get national attention is when they are pushing stupid ideas. Jan Perry with the Big Macs, Zine with the paps and now Jack with Britney. It's all over the news now.
From Fox News:
Britney Spears may soon be starring in political ads in Los Angeles if voters give a campaign centered on her driving record the green light.
A candidate in the race for city district attorney is wondering whether his opponent’s failed attempt to prosecute Spears on a traffic misdemeanor will win him votes, ABCNews.com reports.
A poll, paid for by L.A. city council member Jack Weiss’ campaign, asks registered voters to weigh in on Deputy City Attorney Michael Amerian’s case against Spears for her 2007 hit-and-run case.

Britney's dad was featured making her mac and cheese with that sliced fake American cheese "food," saying that's how her mama makes it when they don't have access to that fancy "shreddy stuff." Saw it right on E, you can't make that stuff up.
And no doubt Higby featuring this as another of his monthly Britney obsessions (guess with Lindsay going gay he's lost it there), but she still shouldn't be treated any worse than the average person. There's definitely a double standard with female rock stars like her and Madonna, whose spouses sue them for big bucks, trash them in the media for their own PR and still it's the women who earn the money and live with the costs of fame who get hit.
If anyone else was caught driving with an out-of-state license like Britney here, from a real address, they'd just get a warning. Like any college student driving with a license from the parent's home address. The hit and run she'd always resolved with that driver, paid him off, so he wasn't suing her. I think there's a valid issue of unequal treatment under the law. One minute, celebs are accused of special treatment, then like Paris with her case, they're allegedly treated harsher. Random justice either way just isn't right.
But Higby, why'd you use the bad photo of Britney? Isn't she still your dream girl?

The fact the Jack Weiss even felt the need to try and attack Michael is a sign that Jack Weiss's camp isn't feeling too confident. Nor should they.

Say what you want about Weiss but at least he did something that mattered in this city and that was creating the ordinances that deals with all the damn guns in this city. Weiss had nothing to do with getting Esteban Nunez off early. Latinos and blacks will support Weiss because he's the only one who shows any kind of leadership going have violent gang bangers.

Hey, the little snot (Ninez) is not "off", he's just out on bail pending trial.
He will be convicted and sentenced to a long time in jail.
Bet on it.

Weiss is NERVOUS!!!
Amerian has come from nowhere to raise huge amounts of money.
Nuch has come from San Pedro, of all places, to raise almost as much.
They will both be strong competitors to Jack.
Guess this race isn't the cakewalk he thought it would be.

One of the biggest Weiss haters, Ron Kaye, has been having a possible meltdown even according to Kevin Roderick/ L A Observed.
12/21, about Kaye's "long blog rant" about the city's solar initiative, where he even suggests the conspiracy leads to Obama, Kevin says sarcastically:
"Yeah, the whole world is questioning Obama's sincerity and integrity because of L A's solar initiative."
In fact, naming Hilda Solis, who's allegedly a force behind it, to his Cabinet gives L A and her pal the Mayor more clout. And since Antonio's backing weiss...
Kaye's had some valid points but has shown himself to be so bitter and mean-spirited he's lost a lot of fans and momentum. Then Walter pops up on the blog to attack him for not supporting him for Mayor, instead of whining, and others pop up to accuse Walter of whining. And Walter has still another candidate for city attorney he's pushing. Well, it's interesting.

Tony may have friends (Solis) that Obama finds acceptable and maybe even helpful, but that still was not Tony being selected by Obama.
Whatever you want to call "clout" still leaves Antonio as the very miserable excuse for a mayor that he's became through a lot of effort to achieve that unique level of mediocrity, losing all concern for ethics along the way. He might have crossed the line on lawful things, too, but there's always more to see with him.
Notice, too, that the L.A. WEEKLY of last week had examined his gang intervention process that has secret selection upon secret selection. Is this the CIA or what? Is this the same guy who used to say early in his term of office that he was going to have transparency in government?
Just perused that thought and found that John Perez, Tony's cousin who was elected to the state assembly last month had been appointed in November 2005 when Tony filled 5 positions with the Board of Civil Service Commissioners that hears appeals of city employees. This was a press release text reprinted in LA Observed that made NO mention of the family relationship. http://www.laobserved.com/archive/2005/11/antonios_civil_service_co.php
Maybe it was disclosed later but if so, maybe they did not want to clutter up the lenthy press release with such mundane details inserted- it might have dulled all the glowing praise.
Tony is not Obama's anything- his chioice, his key to Latino acceptance, nothing. If Solis is smart, she'd put some distance between her and Tony- especially since Obama's concern for ethics wouldn't accommodate Tony modus opearandi.
Jack Weiss is a complete fool to use the .50 cal bullet ban as a substitute for useful legislation; we have enough city laws that don't get enforced- I for one get tired of all those sandwich boards on the sidewalk that obcure views when entering a main street from a side street- just a lot of little things that get winks but annoy anyway.
Criminals who use 50 cal bullets would have a nice bit of noise and recoil to deal with; maybe just putting the thugs with illegal guns in jail would be more practical and make a dent in the current threat level to regular citizens.
Jack Weiss does not do anything as a council member. He's not even at the meetings where he should be, and then he comes up with this showboating ordinance for the .50 cal ammo to get votes- put a ban on the household use and possession of plutonium while you're at it, too, Jack.
No, No, No, to Jack for City Attorney, especially since Tony's his campaign manager. Enough said.
In L.A.

Oh please, all of you need to just get used to it right now. Your new City Attorney will be Jack Weiss. Learn it, live with it, deal with it. Nuch doesn't even have a real name and no real agenda.
I doubt voters will get confused between the two Weiss's. Jack wouldn't let them if they were that stupid. So I wouldn't be counting on that Nuch.

I wish I looked as bad as Britney. I know, I know, she is trailer trash to the max but she looks better bad than I do at my peak.
Oh well, all I have to console myself is that she is dumber than a door knob. That and the fact that she hasn't decided to run for anything in Los Angeles.

Nuch is a shill for the NRA. Weiss is a front man for developers.
Neither of these clowns should be city attorney.

According to a front-section story in today's fishwrap of record, fully 90% of the guns and weapons used in Mexico by the drug cartels come from American guns shows and NRA-sponsored events -- Calderon and his people are urging the US to stop those shipments. But how? Not that the Mexicans aren't more than complicit -- all but a handful of their law enforcement, judges etc. are not on the take from the drug cartels, which is why US law enforcement is reluctant to share info with them.
