"TROLLING FOR DOUGH" at Providence/ Holy Cross Hospital
Memo to the city historian that also plays a city councilman by day, what is the record for fundraisers associated with one controversial issue??
Whatever the record may be, Mayor Antonio Ramon Villar "ahh" raigosa is milking the various factions that have a stake in the controversial expansion plans for the north valley hospital, for any spare sheckels in his pursuit for re-election and beyond.
Antonio Villaraigosa just might score a fundraising three-peat this week –- at least when it comes to some delicate healthcare politics in the San Fernando Valley.
Just as a Superior Court judge is taking aim at a $180-million hospital expansion project in Mission Hills, L.A.'s mayor held three different fundraisers for his reelection campaign involving people on each side of the hospital fight.
Three "TROLLING FOR DOUGH" events from "Mayor 11%" while hundreds face layoffs, what a "Legacy" for the CD 4 historian to prep for the archives.

Too bad gay activist legislators like Kuehl and Rosendahl always feel they have to jump onboard with any Latino initiative as a matter of "justice" and discrimination, instead of looking at the issue rationally. In this case, negating the rule of law and making all of our driver licenses from California meaningless -- if illegals can get them, they'll mean nothing.
And then illegals can register to vote with drive-through voting booths, schools, etc. or else we all lose that privilege and will have to trot out birth certificates or passports, just like we now do at the Canadian as well as Mexican borders.
However, foreign nationals living here and driving without a license (who are almost always Mexicans and Central Americans) are 95% of hit and run drivers, and have no insurance. They should be allowed to earn some kind of provisional license WITH PROOF OF INSURANCE, so they can't just disappear and mow us down and crash up our cars and run, but it should not be the same as ours.
Problem is, Cedillo and the rest call this "discriminatory" since it would distinguish illegals from the rest of us, making them more responsible for their actions -- getting behind a multiton killing machine -- but not giving them all the rights of citizens like voting. Exactly.

By the way, the judge just agreed with the Coalition Advocating Responsible Expansion, that Providence isn't excused from doing a real E.I.R.
The City Council's denied the appeal of project approval, by an 8-5 vote in favor of the appeal.
The vote did not meeting the City's 2/3 requirement to carry an appeal.
As it turns out, CEQA law, the State law that governs Environmental Impact Reporting, does not allow a CEQA issue to be decided by "lack of action", in this case, by not voting against the appeal, and not voting ENOUGH for the appeal, the decision was made by default or "lack of action". The other aspect that CEQA doesn't support is the City's requirement of a 2/3 vote to carry an appeal. The CEQA law requires a simple majority.
Here's where it gets interesting. Providence, with the City's support, has been arrogantly moving forward, pouring concrete and erecting heavy steel, while the lawsuit proceeded, with the possibility they might have to tear it all back down.
This may go back through the City Council for one more vote. One more chance to tell us that a massive 4-year building project based on Urban design in a rural neighborhood, doesn't require as much environmental review as a neighborhood elementary school.
We need the hospital expansion. But we need it done right. We need to be proud of how our community hospital works with the community. Or is the expansion really just about grabbing more business from competing hospitals in the Santa Clarita valley?
Confused? Not surprising.

Another BIG SCARY reason MayorGangTax plans to drum up more hospital $$$ is because of the ever-increasing outbreaks of good ole' TUBERCULOSOIS imported by the illegals. Remember last week's local news: a "female student" at some high school out in San Berdoo or Riverside was diagnosed w/ TB after attending classes for 3 weeks and now the school has to SCREEN EVERYBODY at no cost! (Who DOES end up paying for it? You got it!) Naturally the P.C. news fools refused to admit the little sick bitch was an illegal alien. Furthermore, at Olive View Hospital they've been planning a whole TUBERCULOSOIS WARD for a coupla years now. There are signs all over the emergency zoo (in Eng.& Illeg.) that read "If you're coughing up blood, please cover your mouth and tell the nurse." There are also many face-mask dispensers UNMARKED, so as not to alarm everybody and cause a panic. Wise up, L.A. We gotta STOP Villar from catering to his beloved brown disease-carriers. This is serious. Go ahead, call me a racist. "Racist!" Yeah, hmmm... kinda like the sound of that...
