Biden Makes Anti-Semitic Remarks

Within moments of the last one, Big Mouth Biden fires off yet another gaffe. He's made dumb remarks about Indian-Americans and the disabled, this time he finds it appropriate to make a joke about Jews during a recent speech:

Joe Biden began his remarks to the National Jewish Democratic Council last week with a joke about how Jews like to argue.

The Yeshiva crew team, he said, sent a spy to Cambridge find out why the Harvard rowers always beat them. The informant called his coach from alongside the river. "He said, 'They've got eight guys rowing and only one yelling!' " he said.

The main stream media will give Biden a pass on this but imagine if John McCain went to a meeting of Urban League and started off a speech with "Temple University College sent some folks to Harvard to find out why their graduates get more jobs on Wall Street. They came back to their peers and said it's because White people work harder." That would be the end of that!

With many Jews doubtful of Barack Obama's committment to Israel's security, Biden really has little room to shoot his mouth off like this.

Man Joe, you're keeping us busy!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain by 50 percent to 46 percent among likely voters in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, down from a 9-point edge a week earlier.

The new poll released on Tuesday was conducted Saturday through Monday, after the candidates met in their first debate on Friday.

Obama had led McCain by 52 percent to 43 percent in the poll's previous survey released last week.

Wednesday Gallup Poll: McCain cuts further into Obama's lead

By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Gaining momentum, John McCain edged closer to Barack Obama in Wednesday's Gallup Poll. McCain now trails 48-44 percent, slashing the 8-percentage point lead Obama held over the weekend.

Again, this is surprising news for all the Obama supporters who thought the bad news about the bailout bill would hurt McCain. That's because McCain had failed to get a bill approved, even after announcing he was suspending his campaign a week to work on it.

Well, it seems the ABC News/Washington Post poll I noted earlier was not really an outlier but a predictor, given today’s Gallup Daily Tracking Poll showing the same 50% cut into Obama’s lead of 8 points last week.

I would not be surprised to see this is just the beginning of another poll drop by Obama given how fast the drop is happening in Gallup’s daily poll. I suspect we will see a delayed reaction in Rasmussen in the next few days. Each poll has a time delay, on top of which there is a time delay built into the public opinion as the people cogitate on events like the Presidential Debate and the failure of the Bailout Package in the House.

Higby why don't you ever post a comment about Sarah Palin's solution for our current economic crisis or her ideas for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan? Could it be Sarah "Bimbo" Palin has no solutions or ideas about any of our national problems.

Highy is about as truthful and un-biased as Fox News.

This guy from Fox News is just like Higby when it comes to reporting information about politics.

From the ABC/Post Poll: "Fundamental Advantages for Obama Remain" --- And no one expects Obama to run away with it...but McCain has NEVER had a 9 point lead (let alonea 4 point lead)

But then again, you'd know that looking at National poll numbers mean NOTHING with the Electoral College...for state by state pick-ups:

Ohio: Obama -- 48-46
Florida: Obama 48.6 - 45.6
Nevada: Obama 47.8 - 47.3
NH: Obama 46.7 - 45.4
VA: Obama 48.8 - 46.3
NORTH CAROLINA!!!!: Obama 46.8 - 46.5

Oh...and Higby...Jews love to argue...its a fact of life

The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update of registered voters finds Barack Obama at 48%, and John McCain at 44%, marking a slight narrowing of the race from the eight percentage point margin Obama held earlier this week.

The latest results are based on interviewing conducted Sept. 28-30, a time period in which the American public watched the Dow Jones Industrial Average seesaw between a 700+ point loss and a 400+ point gain on Monday and Tuesday, while attempts by Congress to pass some type of legislation dealing with the financial crisis continued.

Barack Obama has moved to an eight point or higher lead several times since June, including after his foreign trip in July, after the Democratic National Convention, and more recently late last week. In each instance Obama was unable to sustain his lead, and John McCain was able to narrow the gap, as is happening now - to, at least, a modest degree. In addition to continuing action on the part of the Senate and Congress on a financial rescue bill, Thursday’s vice presidential debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden could potentially have an effect on the horserace.

Saying that Jews like to argue is not anti-Semitic. Jews do have a reputation for being actively engaged in the political process and do oftentimes have lively discussions. That's a positive thing. It's not at all like the parallel made in this post which likens it to saying that Temple University students don't work hard.

Furthermore, anyone that looks at Obama's record and anything that he's said will understand that an Obama Presidency means a secure Israel.

But, you know, I understand that some people would rather make dumbass claims like this one in because that's easier than sticking to the issues.

Jews do like to argue and historically coming from Russia and Eastern Europe, many take on the less than gentile surroundings they were forced to live in -- excluded from the upper classes and arguing amongst themselves in the shtetl or jostling with the gentiles to get their fair share of anything at all.

Until the mid-19th Century, in most of Europe Jews weren't even allowed to attend college or join the professions -- Freud was among the first generation to do so, and look at the neurotics he had to deal with and base his theories on.

Sure, there were the British Rothschilds and a handful of others but by and large even rich Jews weren't "accepted" into real "society."

Then too look at what Jews say about themselves: Get three Jews together and form 4 political parties, just like in Israel.

This isn't a bad thing -- they're a very smart, engaged and socially oriented people, just sometimes closed to outsiders and fearful of Christianity. But I'd sure rather have them on my side than Iranians or Syrians, even though many individuals in Arab cultures are warm and friendly to outsiders.
