Palin's Experience vs. Obama's

The non-bloggers over at LA Observed think it's cute to suggest in a "parody" piece that were presumptive Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin were a man, Palin would not have been selected for the spot on the GOP ticket.  Of course, as we've noted before, if Palin were a Democrat and perhaps a minority, she'd be the next big thing.

When it comes to the experience issue, compare Palin to Barack Obama. Palin has served in office longer than Obama has and has had more executive experience than Obama, Joe Biden and John McCain.

Palin served on the Wasilla, Alaska City Council from 1992 to 1996.  She then was elected Mayor and served until 2002.  She was then appointed to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and elected Governor in 2006.

On the other hand Obama was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1997.  During his time in the State Senate, the Democratic Presidential nominee voted "present" 130 times, not voting for or against a number of controversial measures.

In her time in office, Palin has balanced budget, delivered services, overseen law enforcement and commanded the Alaska National Guard.

Don't think Barack has done any of that.

Stop thinking with your little head.

The town that Palin was once Mayor of has a population of about 5500. That puts it somewhere between Avalon (Catalina) and Westlake Village.

Big whoopee do!

Jerry Springer, at age 33, was Mayor of Cincinnati.

Incredible! The Democrats are shopping a story that Sarah Palin's son Trig is NOT her's but that of her 17 year old daughter Bristol - and to show how even more sick they are, they're suggesting the father is her brother, Palin's son Track. Hence the reason he joined the Army.

The Democrats once again prove they have no shame. I thought they were against the politics of personal destruction?

Get back on your meds. Palin was elected Gov. by less than 200,000 votes. I bumped into more people at Best Buy in Los Feliz this morning.

Which Democrats are spreading that rumor?

Democratic bloggers claim Palin faked pregnancy

Progressive Democrats are speculating that Sarah Palin's four-month old daughter is really not hers. Democrats believe that Palin's daughter is really her daughter's daughter.

Sarah Palin shot from obscurity when John McCain selected the 44-year-old governor of Alaska to be his running-mate last Friday.

Fueling the speculation was that the birth of the Down Syndrome baby, born April 18, 2008, was a surprise and even her staff were unaware she was pregnant until seven months into the pregnancy. Additionally, Palin's water broke one month before the baby was due yet she kept a speaking engagement in Texas then made the eight-hour flight to Alaska. Three days after the birth of Trig, Palin returned to work as Governor.

That's a big difference that you failed to mention.

There's a big difference between saying that "Democrats" are spreading a rumor, and implying that it's coming from the Democratic party leaders or the Obama campaign, and saying that it's coming from a blogger, who might just be passing along or creating a rumor to increase hits on the blog.

Bloggers sometimes do that you know.

There seems no bottom to the depth the left will go to smear an opponent. They are no longer interested in defeating political opponents, but destroying them, right out of Saul Alinsky.

I wonder too if the Justice Department will receive calls from Obama urging investigations in KoS, as they did over TV station showing the Bill Ayers ad?

Somehow, I imagine we will hear cries of "Freedom of Speech" from the left.

Did you notice the conservative blogs don't even touch the Obama gay sex and drugs scandal.

And the liberal blogs, such as this one, have not touched the stories about McCain's seven mistresses (one on each continent), how he got caught in a Cambodian opium den with Chinese midget hooker, and his porn collection.

What kind of crappy post was that?

My opinion is that anyone who has voted as being present 130 times possibly shouldn’t be elected to the Executive Office.

Too damn funny the head Blogging Burro and Rumor Retard is talking about the Democrats spreading rumors about Palin's kid.

Highy talking about rumors is like Fat Albert talking about fat people eating Big Macs.

Interesting piece in The Atlantic Monthly -- things that McCain didn't know about Palin. But the author explains why he would have picked her anyway.

This libdemmedia fixation on Trig Palin is like a train wreck in slow motion. The libdemmedia is committing suicide right before our eyes by pursuing this story. It’s going to be worse for them than the Bush’s Texas National Guard story in 2004.

The Dems are really going down this time! How stupid can you be to put out a story as bodacious as this one!!! FYI, the photo of her daughter with the little 'bump' was takin in 2006, and the baby was born in April, 2008!

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE PREGNANT FOR 18 MONTHS???? WHAT A BUNCH OF RETARDS!

The democrats didn't start this story, the rumors began circulating in the classrooms of the high school Bristol attended.

Also, none of the democrat, liberal bloggers who write here mentioned the rumour at all, you were the one to post the scurrilous rumor here first.

Also, our friends at the National Enquirer supposedly are there to ferret out any more family jewels hidden away. I don't think you were crying "DEMO PERSONAL DESTRUCTION JOB" when the Enquirer was reporting on John Edwards.

In fact, you were giving them kudos on their fine investigative reporting. Let's see what else they're able to find out in Alaska.

Bristol Palin is not running for public office. She also did not deny the story as John Edwards did.

Also Bristol Palin got pregnant. John Edwards cheated on his cancer stricken wife.

Oh and before anyone brings up McCain's affairs it was before he ever ran for office and he copped to them AT THE TIME.

I guess the Democrats can continue to push this crap; it's only firing up the conservatives who until now weren't going to go out of their way to vote for McCain.
