David Galaviz (top photo), and Jose Sigala (holding pen in lower photo), are respectively the out-going and in-coming Presidents of their Neighborhood Councils, those being Lincoln Heights and Greater Echo Park Elysian.
Galaviz worked for State Senator Gil "One Bill" Cedillo. Sigala worked for the late Assemblyman Marcos Firebaugh and is now employed by Councilman Richard "Zorro Marxist" Alarcon.
Both use controversial tactics to win their respective elections. Galaviz used the "youth vote. Sigala used a "official looking mailer".
And now both elections are being challenged by angry voters.(link here for Echo Park Election Challenge), and (link here for Lincoln Heights Election Challenges).
Like-minded in their approach to politics, is there a "DNA" bond between the two???

Sigala's wife, Torres Baca Sigala, used to be married to Noel Weiss who's a third cousin of Galaviz's on his wife's side of Melrose Larry Green. They are all somehow, past of present, in the pay of Alatorre, and have been inherited by the Zorro Marxist. (Huizar won't have them.)
Folks, there are actual challenges that were filed in several NC elections from region 1. They can be viewed online at the city clerk's website, cityclerk.lacity.org/election , then click region 1, etc etc

Yes, there were multiple challenges and all those being challenged are related to Galaviz.
12:58 - I believe the Noel Weiss you are referring to is the grandson of Noel Coward (the actor) and uncle to current councilmember Jack Weiss.
Melrose Larry Green has been missing because he is actually Richard Alatorre.

As I said, Noel Weiss is related to Galaviz, Sigala and Melrose Larry Green on the famale side especially through Torres Baca -- and, if you ask me, the relationships show. I'm not sure about Noel Coward the actor, who is apparently someone other than the playwrite of the same name. But Noel Weiss doesn't seem very articulate to me, so I doubt this connection is true. Then again, there are many famous writers whose progeny are awkward with words, so anything is possible.
The only connection I know for sure is Galavaiz, Sigala and Melrose Larry Green, and Alatorre. I don't believe Alatorre is Melrose Larry Green.

Neighborhood councils use to be about the community. Now the city council people have taken them over to get the power and money and have "their people" not only run for seats but help campain to get them in. You can kiss the communitys voice goodbye because politicans don't care.
Echo park NC has problems that really have to do with developers. That is a problem that all areas have. Residents do not want developers changing their neighborhoods.
There are also threats that one race (white) may be changing the face of echo park. Maybe we should all get along. But the real issue is developers.
Yeah, let some more affluent and educated white people move into an area, clean it up, not have billions of kids, and "it's a threat."
But to have millions of uneducated, impoverished, Third World noisy and Mexican-centric backward-behaving illegals come to our country, drag it down to their level with their Third World ways and breeding like rabbits, producing kids who become gang bangers at 2 1/2 X the avg. rate and dropping out of school at 3 X the rate -- while they march in the streets for high wages and their fascist Marxists like Alarcon, Reyes, Cardenas are screaming about our not creating high- tech jobs for them -- and that's supposed to be a good thing. Ha-ha-ha. What xenophobic racists.

That photo of Galaviz from front is really old -- contemp side shot shows his heavy face and arms, at least a decade older. Who can tell what the guy looks like from that OLD photo?
