CNN is reporting that Former Senator John Edwards will endorse Sen. Barack Obama's presidential candidacy, Obama's campaign says.

It's already in the LAT, but Mrs. Edwards had favored Hillary, wish she had the guts to speak out, instead of being a quiet little political wife now, when she's been outspoken so far.
Remember Dandy Don Meredith on Monday Night football? When it got down to about 2 minutes with the score out of reach, he would break out singing:
"Turn out the lights, the party's over."
Edwards has something like, maybe two dozen elected delegates in his back pocket - none of which are bound to vote the way he asks them to, once he releases them.
So, why does being two dozen more delegates behind Obama (175 vs. 150?) mean "it's over" for her?
Don't get me wrong. I think it was over for Hillary a long time ago, but your logic in announcing it today, for this reason, is wrong.

Not counting Florida and Michigan is a disgrace and makes the election a farce. The people's voices are more important than "uniting the party" by dumping someone who'd have had the majority. Those voters should rise up and raise a stink enough to make Howard Dean count them.
Gil Cedillo has to be the MOST corrupt Mexican politician. He's still supporting Beltran in the neighbor towns known to be run by Mexican Mafia, Maywood and its other neighbor, which Cooley's been targeting, and he lobbies there for licenses for illegals, was on hand at the May Day pro-illegal rally again this year. But the public is catching on to these people.

Hillary will be our new nominee and President.
Why did Edwards wait until it was too late? I read that also (but in the Daily News) that Elizabeth Edwards favors Hillary. Now, why won't she tell her husband that he needs to stop wearing those ill-fitting suits?
