Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Tuesday

State Assembly Speaker and fellow Mirthala Banger Fabian Nunez has teamed up with State Senate President Don Perata to hoodwink a term limits extension initiative on the ballot to extend their and other pols' employment in the State Legislature. Indeed, this measure is even more cynical than the infamous Measure R. The Wall Street Journal reports there are some pretty serious legislative gymnastics Fabian and Don have to do to get it on the ballot and approved in time for them to run in the June primaries. However Capitol Weekly reports that the efforts to get enough signatures to get the scam on the February Presidential Primary ballot could potentially fail.

The Daily News reports on politicians who cry for public transportation but don't use it themselves. New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg kind of uses it, but our own Subway Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa doesn't. In fact, Mayor Villar doesn't even bother to ride the bus during MTA dog and ponies for the cameras.

The Long Beach Press Telegram reports on a recent California Supreme Court ruling that says citizens and the press have the right to know how much government workers make. Those employees might view it as an invasion of privacy but I agree with the Press Telegram that its a necessary evil to monitor fraud, waste and abuse.

More fun if you click read more!

Here's a bright idea (not). The City is considering one way to force people onto public transportation is to allow developers to build some projects without providing parking. Here's a better one: develop public transportation that actually goes places, is on time, isn't built for political expediency and that doesn't smell like urine. THEN some folks might ride.

One way to have massive development and not add to traffic is to build projects that are truly mixed use - with retail, housing and commercial spaces. The trouble is lots of retail and housing is going into projects in Los Angeles but not commercial. Why? Businesses don't want to locate in Los Angeles due to its onerous taxes and regulations. But they want to go to business friendly cities such as Burbank where this development is one of many in a city with very low commercial vacancy rates.

The legendary Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood has been sold to CIM, the real estate development firm that owns the Hollywood and Highland complex next door to the theatre. CIM promises no changes to the 80 year old structure which currently leased and operated by the Mann Theaters chain.

And finally, maybe this is an idea that Captain Jack might like and that Mayor Villaraigosa could consider for cleaning up Skid Row. A mayoral candidate in Key West, Florida wants to capitalize on the town's pirate image by having the homeless (as well as city workers) dress up like the legendary bucaneers of the Spanish Main. Perhaps here we could have derelicts made up like famous movie stars for the tourists.

It's really exhilarating to read the WSJ denouncing these craven Mexican Mechistas!! Wow! What a slam to Nunez and Peralta!!! And do they ever loathe Villar!!

Who in the hell does NUNEZ think he is bullshitting???? The voters are onto him and his corrupt politics. Does he think we are stupid enough to vote for redistricting if it means he gets another term????

Villar WILL NEVER BE RE-ELECTED EITHER! The CITIZENS hate him!
What a great year 2008 and 2009 will be! Adios, el crookos!!!

The big city folks and have NO USE whatsover for the punks in L.A. and Sacramento politics! I always said they won't play in Peoria! Thanks, WSJ!!!

BTW, look for a 5 minute video on YOU TUBE in about 3 weeks! It's going to be a scathinhg montage of Nunez, Villar and several other Mechistas at a Prop 187 rally in 1997 (not sure about the date). Could be 1994...

The video will expose Nunez and Villar walking around talking and ignoring the American National Anthem while standing at attention for the Mexican anthem. They are carrying their Mexican flags and the audio is shocking! They are slamming America and yelling that they (the Reconquistas Mechistas) will take over America! Nunez is waving his closed fist all over the place.

Folks, this is exactly how we are going to get rid of these traitors!

Last week I suggested that everyone send any anti-American videos to YOU TUBE...and my dream is coming true!

All credit to the Daily Breeze, which had a nice editorial Sunday about SB 974 and the death toll of the ports.

2400 a year they report. A lot more than we are losing in Iraq, but not too many people seem to be able to get too excited.

As our good friend Dr. Miller so famously said, "Wake up and smell the diesel, it's killing you."

Yeah, well, when MAV tried to talk about it at that infamous press conference at the port, the press had its collective head up its butt and just wanted to know about Mirthala. Unger woman used it as self-promo to commit illegal entry and flew into the container to create a lawsuit.

You people hate her as a Mexican phony and lawbreaker, but want the press as a whole to keep the guy from focusing the public mind on issues like this.

Make up your mind, if you have one.

The Mayor is doing nothing to effectively clean up the mess at the Port. It's all PR spin and obfuscation. Witness Mayor Sam's report on his attempt to hijack SB 974.

As to his problems with his "love" life, it has nothing to do with me or us that he cannot control his gonads. He created this diversion, not the public.

Any politican who cannot see, after the Lewinsky debacle, that such lack of self discipline and control leades to political chaos, is just childish and unfit to serve.

By a margin of 957 signatures, the term limits initiative has secured enough support to be placed on the February ballot, according to the secretary of state.

We must vote against the term limits. We are tired enough with this whole bunch of guys. Its time they went back to Mexico and run for President there.
