Villaraigosa & City Council's "Smart Growth"/"Dumb Density" NOW MEANS A 6.2% RATE HIKE MITIGATION IS COMING BETWEEN '08 & '09

FROM BOARD OF WATER AND POWER COMMISSION MEETING:

Regarding: Sierra snow pack. There is a proposal (they'll get it) for a 3.1% rate increase in '08 and and additional 3.1% hike in '09 -- due to failure of the Sierra snow pack only being at 50% capacity!

That's an overall 6.2% increase, as proposed at Board of Water and Power Commissioners meeting.

The rate proposal goes to NC for a 120 day review; then goes up for a vote by full Los Angeles City Council. (Aka: The Fraud Factory! Thanks, Kevin)

Jack Weiss' high density commercial development has contributed to this water rate increase proposal, because DWP cannot accommodate all these added showers, sinks, toilets, etc.

So DWP has to create these mitigation hikes. The units that are going to go up (hundreds of thousands of units) in LA's "Dumb Density" plan will cause DWP to continue to jack up the water rates as mitigating circumstances in the future as conditions worsen.

In other words, y'all are building all these skyscrapers, beyond DWP capacity. (See Daily News story on DWP water supply shut-down, concern of chemicals in drinking supply, and now Sierra shortage.)

So although Citywide development has contributed to this long term predicament (until the Villaraigosa's speculative alternative energy technologies invents some "dehydrated water", y'all), Jack Weissass is the only one getting re-called, and he is the biggest creator of traffic congestion with his mixed-use, high denisty commercial development, that f*ck up the area so bad, the Westside pueblos were just looking for a reason to re-call his ass.

So send a message to the rest of those environmental hating, congestion-creating fraud, waste and abusers of Los Angelesdam City Council:

And to the other fourteen shadinants: Why not actually attend one of those Sierra Club meetings, besides election endorsement day, and have them explain to you the concept of finite resources. Anyone know where Jose Huizar is?

He's out of town according to some folks who just got out of the Eagle Rock Victory Outreach sign approval meeting.

I know it would be cool for him to slip into another position somewhere else, to take off some of the heat that he is drawing...maybe he'll slip into some Clinton campaign position and chill out there for a while.

(Just stirring it up with baseless speculation...) ZD

Airport agency's new chief to earn $305,000
From Times Staff Reports
June 5, 2007

The city's Airport Commission agreed Monday to pay the new executive director of Los Angeles World Airports, which operates LAX and facilities in Ontario, Van Nuys and Palmdale, an annual salary of $305,015.

Gina Marie Lindsey, who started her new job Monday, will earn a salary at the top end of a scale recommended by the city's administrative code. Lindsey is a former consultant and aviation director of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, where she helped guide a $4.1-billion renovation.

How can we justify this salary; by the number of airports? So she 'helped guide a 4.1 billion renovation'. CEO VPs and Project Managers do the same thing and dont make $305,015 per year. AV must really like her.

She is leaving a job where she made more than $400,000 a year. You guys are really stupid.

She is a bargain and we are lucky to have her. Another great hire by AV.

Give him credit, we are upgrading our General Managers.

Geraldine Knatz at the Harbor is also a star, but what do you gadflys know about good leadership. All you do is carp and whine.

Get a life.

What we need is a mayor who serves his constituents and follows the law.

Once he got elected he completely dumped that campaign spiel about being "a mayor for all the people."

A downside to having so many sound bytes recorded is that a lot of the 180-degree position changes become part of the public record that he can't deny.

Formerly supported him, but his unconditional support of illegal aliens is simply destructive of the city and society. There's no "American Dream" if there's nothing American left.

If he assumed all Latinos agreed with him on favored treatment for illegals, he was wrong.

A Latino not in agreement.
